Not a Beast Wars fan myself. Having said that , I wish them all the best with it, hope it’s great. I’m liking the Optimus truck and I’m interested to see if the Terracon stuff may hint at a bigger threat in a follow up movie, Quintessons or even Unicron.

 

I'm actualy not sure if we will have only reptilean predacons, because it is very easy to assume that Capler's "you've seen things like them in past movies" is refering to Dinobots, but like, what if he's talking about Scorponok?

 

Yeah, I don't believe they will ALL be Reptiles.

There’s been a lot of rumours and whispers of some sort of Unicron shit being involved in this film. There’s also been rumours of Cheetor being featured. So really, this film is already full of so much stuff I can easily see them sneaking in the Quintessons or Unicron. Especially if they want to set up some sort of sequel where Unicron is the big bad.

 

I could see Scourge being a disciple of Unicron but the rumours of his involvement should be treated as such, as the source of the rumour seems to stem from Scourge's colour scheme being slightly similar to Unicron. There was certainly no hint of Scourge working for a bigger bad from the virtual event.

That's not to say that it won't be the case, just feel the rumour has little evidence to back it up at the moment.

 

I wonder what they’ll have as a midcredit/postcredit scene, perhaps some folks at S7 alluding to the “Mechanically Advanced Secret Knights” or ‘Earth Corps’, or perhaps even unveiling a snake symbol, or maybe even a team of S7 agents surround a recent crater as the smoke clears away to reveal a tall silver metallic humanoid with glowing red eyes…

 

Kind of unrelated to this film, but it’ll be really cool if later down the line they do some worlds collide type story and have G1 galvatron traveling through the multiverse and killing every single Optimus prime until he reaches the knightverse.

 

Is anyone else concerned that this movie might end up being a cluster-fuck? Don't get me wrong, I really hope that this ends up being an amazing film. But all the characters and factions in this movie have me worried that they're rushing into things instead of planning things out. Not gonna lie, I'm much more excited for and optimistic about the cybertron animated movie at this point.

I'm optimistic, I think they've got a good director in Caple Jr. and everything sounds intriguing but it does leave me a little concerned that they're rushing into a massive movie like this, when they could've of gone for something smaller scale.

 

I'm pretty sure it's going to be a cluster-fuck. It reeks of "Studio going ahead with one of the bad script concepts they devised during the ill-fated TLK writer's room". But I am hoping that it's a minor cluster-fuck that can still be fun instead of a fucking putridly bad cluster-fuck.

 

However this film turns out, I'm glad there is still a steady hype and that people are still excited and discussing this, even on a Transformers forum.

 

If "Welcome to the Jungle" never plays at any point in the movie that's a huge missed opportunity.

 

yeah, lukewarm off the heels of a successful, small-scale, character-driven transformers film, we're getting a movie with 4-5 factions of robots PLUS the requisite human characters' story/stories? it's gonna be a fuckin mess.

 

It's a Transformers movie, it being a cluster-fuck is to be expected.

 

Doesn't Prime look shockingly similar to this Energon Igniter Figure from the Bumblebee Movie toyline?

 

Yeah it was brought up earlier in the Optimus thread how the truck was very similar to the one now and how it like many of the BB Movie Optimus toys was Evasion Prime.

Was probably just a happy accident, but I'd find it funny if someone was just browsing around one day, saw that toy when they were looking for a new Optimus truck, and a lightbulb went off.

 

To be honest, I see that happening.
