Damnit. I looked into Taobao once and decided it was way too much of a headache to try to figure out.

you can sign up for a SuperBuy account and if you have direct links to TaoBao, you can order that way. the search feature use to work when i initially tried it but it stopped working for me shortly afterwards and never could figure it out after that. so i never went through with making purchases and trying it out. i've read shipping is quite pricey unless you group a bunch of items together to disperse the cost to make it worth it.

He does have a lot of decal sets I like. Not big on the decals he made for SD Arcee (the headlights are nice but I wouldn't use any of the rest), but I love what he's done for Blitzwing, Octane, MST Reflector and Stunticons, and SS86 Grimlock. I'll have to look into superbuy.

if you do go ahead and order some stuff, pls let me know how it goes. i'd be interested in the filler pieces and replacement clear part upgrades for SS86 grimlock he looks to have created for it.

Mine came in today, I'm a little underwhelmed by it to be honest. A little flimsier than I'd like and just not for me.

So! It's up for sale instead of returning it back to ShowZ. Hit me up if you want it, $40 shipped from Texas to the US

Just curious, why would you send it back to the retailer just because you bought it and didn't like it? Not sure if paying shipping back to them would be worth it.

That’s what he’s saying, he’s trying to sell it to someone here instead

Yeah, I'd rather sell it locally to someone who wants it sooner instead of paying for shipping plus a restock fee, even if it ends up being a wash

Very excited to fiddle with this guy (he came in the day I had to leave for 10 days of cat-sitting at a friends place. Grr.) The hips issue is worrying; they'd better have all this worked out by the time Sandstorm comes out, dammit.

There's no issue. It's literally fixed if you loosen the screw a few turns to drop the crotch piece a fraction of a millimeter. Nothing to worry about.

It's literally a miniscule crevice that's covered by the skirt anyway. I could probably tighten mine more, but it's not getting any looser and doesn't inhibit transformation, so I'm happy with it.

Finally got a chance to fiddle with him! Overall, a fantastic figure. My only major gripe, apart from the whole hips debacle, is the locking mechanism for the turret. And the terrible instructions, but that's in keeping with Mechanic Studios. In fact, the instructions fail to mention that you need to unlock the turret by lifting up the gun barrel in order to rotate it or slide it, and I almost broke the damn thing trying to do it by force. Additionally, the locking mechanism is annoying because it's not really necessary for any of the modes, and it makes it so that you can't compress the barrel down in robot mode. I noticed that you can separate the front half of the barrel, and I suspect this was done as a compromise that you could make the barrel appear shorter on display.

One lovely surprise was that his heads are cast out of yellow plastic, rather than purple or tan plastic painted yellow. I figured they would cheapen out rather than bring in an additional color of plastic for just the heads.

Just got mine. Haven’t transformed him yet, but my impression is what I’d figured already: that he’d be a placeholder.

He’s too big for my MS/NA collection, the face looks off to me, yada yada other nitpicks.

Now that the triple changers are done, I think I’m done with MFT for awhile. Tired of buying too big figures that will just get replaced. I thought about a MFT season 3/movie collection, but NA put out Galvatron, we have a new Ultra Magnus coming from both MS and NA. Eventually they’ll get to season 3/movie, I’ll just wait til then.

Unspectacular bots plus size equals I’m done with MFT.

I'm actually a fan of this scale. I think largely because I like how they are almost the exact same size as their G1 counterparts. I would love to see a side by side in all three modes between Mechanic Studios Blitzwing and G1 Blitzwing.

Also, I collect both New Age and Magic Square, so scale is not a factor for me. My collection is all over the map.

Same, for the most part. I just started collecting legends (and went hard doing so) a few months ago. Wound up focusin on Magic Square, with mft and iron factory when need be. MFT carbots aren’t much bigger than an Iron Factory or Magic Square and the characters that should be bigger, like the headmasters and triple changers, fit in just fine. The only brand I don’t think fits is NewAge, as they’re a tad too small next to IF and MS and WAAAAY too small next to MFT, but even then, their bigger figures - like Galvatron and Megatron fit in just fine.

Not bothered by scale in the slightest. On the contrary - and as long as it doesn't look out of whack - I dig some size variation in my Decepticon display.

Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with this Blitzwing, and with the whole Triplechangers trio in general. Thumbs up MFT.

    Bye Bye :D
Why not, it is your collection mate, I do not mind having both MFT and MS since I do not collect anything else.
We all have to draw a limit in what we are getting anyway, unless you are very very rich
