Mirage seems like he might be cool. Nightbird also. Scourge sounds kinda edgy though, and Primal not being Chalk is a little disappointing. I know some of the lEaKeRs said that Beast Megs would be called Galavar, (in league with Gnashteeth, Galvar, and Joe) but I’m not even sure if he’ll be in the movie. If he is, and this probably extends to all Predacons, he likely won’t be that big of a threat. I do think the Maximal designs at least sound cool though, so I could be wrong maybe. That lifted second gen Camaro for bumblebee will be pretty cool.

 

Really hope Beast Wars Megatron is in the movie and is voiced by David Kaye. I could see them using the Galavar name to avoid confusion but is that really necessary? I think they can easily explain why he is called Megatron. I don't think its a big deal.

I wouldn't be surprised if they use a modified version of RazorClaw as the Predacon leader instead but I would like to see Megatron and I think they should use him if they want to appeal to Beast Wars fans.

 

Since David Kaye is in LA, he would definitely be able to record. Chalk is in Vancouver, so getting him was probably more difficult -- still disappointed, but I understand it at least. I would be baffled if BW Megatron is in the movie and not played by David Kaye, though.

Yeah, I agree if they use Megatron and its not him, it will be very disappointing but the fact that Kaye has been retweeting people saying they are disappointed Garry Chalk is not Primal and also retweeted the petition to bring back OG voice actors seems to show that he has not been contacted to do any voice work for the movie.  

 

I mean, there's also just the possibility that BW Megatron's not in it, but yeah.

 

Surprised Nightbird is winning but I voted her too because her G1 design is so cool and this is apparently similar.

Bumblebee because I'm hoping they use the redesigned head that has a mouth.... Emphasis on the word "HOPING".

 

I really want to see the decepticons designs and how are the Terrocons will look, not very interested in the Autobots since they will probably look like the BBB cast

 

I’m hoping the Predacons are cool. I’d love to see BW Megatron on the big screen but of course I’m expecting them to take liberties. I’m not expecting a rubber ducky or him to say “yes” a lot.

 

Arcee’s my most anticipated since she’s my favorite character from TF Prime and she hasn’t been done justice in the films. Also excited to see Prime’s story through the film. Mirage interests me too since it looks like he’ll play a major part in the movie

Eh. Aside from the first, before I had the misfortune to watch it, live action Transformers film announcements tend to fill me with a mixture of ambivalence, annoyance and ovrrall ickyness. Even Bumblebee did, before I watched it. I deliberately skipped out on two of them, and feigned sleep to get out of watching the rest of one of them. I'm skipping this one too.

But, for the sake of the poll, Arcee, provided she looks more like Knightverse Arcee.

Nightbird is awesome and all, but I feel that Shatter was a great Nightbird stand-in, with different colors and the ability to talk. She also has a very ninja like silhouette in terms of her hooded head, lean body, and sandals. I'm still annoyed that she only got toys with the stupid, closed mask. They could have been sisters-in-battle on my shelf. Screw you Hasblow!

That might be why. I never pay much attention to Studio Series.


ETA: I'm not excited to see Scourge at all. I've never liked him.

It could be one of the best rivalries in the franchise.

 

I dunno. If Nightbird is the ninja bad-ass of G1, Arcee will get her metal ass handed to her in short order.

 

Excited isn't the phrasing I'd use, but I'm most interested in seeing Primal.

 

For now, I'm most curious - not excited, I haven't gotten that far yet - to see Optimus's new design.

I'm not really a big fan of the other G1 characters on the poll, but seeing their designs may change my mind eventually.


From BW, Rhinox is a favorite of mine, but I worry the Beast Warriors will be seen as cyborg designs with flesh/bone protruding from their bodies. I really hope they won't use Cenobite-like designs for the animal-formers.
