Good question, I actually only saw the original concept sketches.

The Hasbro team generally do these sketches or have artists draw them or if in a rush create mock ups/digibashes from existing figures which they send to TT.

TT then send back a basic engineering/CAD model that fits the rough price/piececount and if the team are happy they then work on sculpt/finer details.

I've seen some charming almost hand drawn block transformation diagrams from John Warden explaining the rough concept he's had for figures in the past but it looks like the relationship between Hasbro/TT in co-developing and designing the figures is pretty intertwined nowadays.

There was no voyager straxus rumor. The rumor was a leader class straxus remold of kingdom galvatron, and that figure is apperantly cancelled and his spot was given to megs.

Oh and its TM2 megatron from beast wars season 3 thats rumored, not BWll megs(doesnt exist)

Wreckgar said that transmetal 2 megatron took straxus' spot. Nothing was mentioned of a swap.
And megs didnt have a spot before he took straxus' so i dont see how a swap could even happen.

 

Somebody in one of the other threads said we had a rumor about pretenders happening next year. Figured I'd come here and ask if there was any truth to that rather than clogg up the Haslab thread.

No, there aren't. I already explained it in the Haslab thread, but it was literally just some people discussing what pretenders in the modern mainline could look like. Someone for some reason thought that was a leak and started spreading it around.
