I don't think I realized there was a NECA toon street display, and based on the current eBay prices for a toon street diorama at $300+, I'm like... "nope... not now, not at those prices"
I starting questioning Target and Neca figure size shelf beef? Neca said Target didn't want to give away that much shelf space but Lego and Jurrasic Park and a few other brands in the toy aisle take up 2x that size of the 4pk box, though I've also read Lego pays out the @$$ to ensure their toys own an aisle in Target and Wally, throw in Neca's TMNT is not allowed on "Toy Shelves" and maybe it's just a collaborative shituation. Anyways someone let me know who I'm sending money to for Frogs part duex lol. I am toon complete minus getting rid of Leatherhead and I'm not sure I feel guilty about that bcuz I kept telling myself I wasn't getting everything.....I have everything but him lol now
Sorry, to clarify, I've found every other NECA release in store. In 18 months I've only seen one frog set and one Baxter/Splinter set. I was saying that the TMNT line is just that popular since everything else has been (relatively) easy to find.
Has anyone else seen the Party Wagon come back in stock at walmart? I've been thinking about collecting more original figures instead of Neca or Super7. The wagon would be the perfect edition.
If Playmates ever do a reissue of the Classic Sewer Lair Playset, I would totally buy it. Dunno if I'd pay for a NECA one, tho. I had enough trouble trying to find a shelf for the Toon Street diorama piece.
No, but I've seen speculation on Twitter that Michaelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and the Party Wagon were accidentally released early for purchase and we'll see them get a wider release during the Walmart collector con in two weeks. Fingers crossed!

Well, based on this, the upcoming releases might be easier to grab, if interest is waning this much. You could say this is just a few people on one message board, but there are many posts across several sites claiming Frog and sometimes Triceraton sets are sitting around in local stores. That's definitely not the case around here (actually, all I've seen of TMNT figures while searching for an Alpha One the last couple weeks is one store having one leftover Splinter & Baxter set). Or, maybe after seeing the first Frog set linger a bit in stores, NECA will lower production on upcoming releases, so then they'll still be difficult to find. And scalpers will probably still scarf them up no matter what, since they fall under the "Target exclusive" category, and if less collectors are looking for them then help from the spreadsheet list might drop off too... I'm in for most of the toon characters, pretty much anything short of the fairly generic human ally, mobster, and mad scientist types. I have at least one of every unique character released up through the first Frog set. Everything upcoming I either have ordered (Scrag, Pizza Monster, Ace Duck & Mutagen Man, Scumbug & Antrax) or hope to find somehow (Alpha One, second Frog set, Mondo & Kerma, Muckman & Joe Eyeball, Chrome Dome). And I'm definitely still in for the following: Irma, Burne, Dirtbag, Groundchuck, Wingnut, Screwloose, Usagi, Mousers, Rock Soldier Infantry, Tattoo, Tempestra, Neutrinos, Tokka, Rahzar, and an improved April. I'd probably even be interested in: Human Baxter, Mona Lisa, Lotus Blossom, more of Rocksteady & Bebop's gang members, and Rex-1. Vehicles and playsets take up a bit too much space for me at this scale though. So it'll be interesting to see if things get easier, harder, or stay about the same, for finding them in-store.
Oh I cancel my guilt on Leatherhead, I'm not 99% toon buying, no Foot, def not getting Ultimate Foot, no Muckman & Joey eyeball, no Mondo Gecko bcuz I'm not making the Mighty Mutanimals.....no, no, no, not making them. I can't remember if I grabbed Ace Duck but I don't think so, who was he packaged with?

Oh yeah, that's the stuff I'm a vintage TMNT guy, can't bring myself to start over on these new lines as amazing as they are. I don't have the sewer lair or Technodrome though, impressive!
Thanks! Yeah, I'm not a fan of the cartoon versions, and the Super7 Ultimates figures that look like the vintage ones are really sweet, but they're too large for me. I do love the movie aesthetic NECA figures though, and I would totally buy a NECA movieverse sewer lair. I'm surprised no one noticed the Back to the Future nods in the Sewer Lair, lol Also, I have mini-Krang working on his Android Body, that's why it's in the Technodrome like that. I want to get a few more Foot Soldiers (Bebop and Rocksteady have no business piloting the Technodrome) and a Tokka and Rahzar to put in the jail, maybe the Mutatin' verisons.
