Upgrade kits tend to get a bit cheaper if you are patient - you can see that by looking at some of the older ones.

This may just be accidental but just as SG Starscream is in Jetfire colours, I think one could argue that SG Jetfire is close to being in Skywarp colours.

I wonder what that Titantium Jetfire would have looked like as a more substansive design - that is a design i'd not mind being revisited at some point- I like it it even looks a bit like an actual aircraft i've seen a museum too.

 

I definitely want to see a guy in a Megatron costume performing "Ice Ice Baby." now.

 

I always loved that jet mode. Not too big on the asymmetrical robot mode but if a company would make a War Within-inspired Jetfire using that same jet mode and aspects of the robot mode with a more traditional Jetfire transformation I'd be all over it.

 

For me, the kit with all the additional armour to convert Siege Megatron into IDW's Origin Megatron was a must have.



But that's mostly because I wanted to make a toy out of every IDW Megatron I couldn't buy in the appropriate scale.

Megatron Origin isn't very fondly remembered, so I can understand if anyone thinks a toy directly inspired by it isn't exactly a must have.

"must have" is subjective. We did really like the Tim Heada transformable null rays for the ER Seekers and articulated claw for Grapple. Some other kits, not so much.

Yes, I was quite surprised when I found out. There's one post of it with no other mention or description on TH's Weibo. In retrospect, this was the first time I've seen his now commonly used nylon-like material for handles.

A few sellers on ebay have listings for guts gun sets supposedly in Netflix colors now. Has anyone gotten them yet? I'm curious if the color matching is actually any better, esp since the first set wasn't even matched that well to the original figure. The pictures on the listing don't look all that promising and still a bit off.

Oh wow, I spent like 30 mins searching Tim Heada everywhere and not finding much of anything lol. Very much appreciated!

 

Finally got ahold of SS86 Slug / Slag. Has similar limited clearance issues with the hands like SS86 Grimlock. His G1 sword design would need a rather long handle to get proper clearance [Edit: or make the hilt rather small] unless held improperly sideways. Of course, his G1 toy had to hold the sword sideways too with the odd dogbone hilt.

Yeah, Tim Heada stuff on eBay doesn't get labelled as TH (or Tim Made). Actual store front sites like TFSafari and Unclebilly will list his stuff as TH. The packaging or items also have no TH identifiers.

TH doesn't always put all his stuff on his weibo page either, and it gets difficult to tell when none of the store front sites identify them.

I have all 3 null rays, and they're great. Since the sets are mirrored and NOT cloned, you can always put the screw side towards the back in bot mode and pointing inward in alt mode.

Some eBay sellers finally starting labelling Go Better kits at least.

Some stuff I noticed:

 

The eBay sellers frequently don't give credit to the creators.

 

There's this hand adaptor, but you need to supply your own hands (either the super poseable KFC-12 MP Sideswipe hands or just get a cheap KO MP Sideswipe and use the hands from those, if like me you prefer only partially poseable hands) and it's super expensive, especially factoring in the cost of said hands. It'd also leave the vehicle mode looking not great, so I was tempted by them at first, but I think I'll pass. I really do wish there was at least a better/cheaper way to give him wrist articulation.

 

I wish someone would make properly sized and color-matched articulated hands for Kingdom Galvy. Using some KFC hands on mine currently, but I’m putting it out there into the universe anyhow.

 

Got some upgrades for kingdom Ultra Magnus from jimmyhauser on eBay. New gun and vinyl sticker for the bumper.

I also got a new gun set from sins of the wreckers for generations springer.
