This may be way out of left field, and I know most are assuming it's going to be Star Saber, but does anyone thing it could be a possibility for a Titan Class Grandus? It would still follow suit for the Japanese series while giving an obscure character justice in a Titan Class mold. Just wondering.
I didn't know that, if they have a fan dub episode in english I'll have to show my kid that. He doesn't do well with subtitles.
What I said. "In the bold". You did read my post eh? And the JP market actually delivers. Though TFs are technically not that top tier in the " anime nostalgia we wants" over other franchises.. Despite that, Starsaber got an MP. You posting Star Saber being "a nobody" is just that, one side of the many opinions from the varied fandom. Not a FACT!
That could make sense. Do more of a Kickstarter style launch. Regardless, it's interesting to see how Hasbro is using this to target the collector market for these characters.
Sadly only a few episodes of BW 2nd were fandubbed in the 2000s and abandoned. Might still be fun to show him Japanese Beast Wars (and Car Robot, which straddle this era) if you haven't already even if just to show what the series was like in Japan during a specific era; making whacky comedies sequel to Beast Wars/G1 using mostly molds not released in Japan.
Sadly it’s only in subtitles for now but he’s super threatening along with Torca, and Skyshadow. It’s very cool seeing them wipe the floor with the maximals and predacons
Even Fortmax. Looks so much like Whitebase Pegasus (Kunio aso designed G1 Scorponok too). The influences are there. Not talking about Victory Leo. Let's stick to the statement Star Saber is a nobody.
Technically all three Fuzors used as 'Blentrons' aren't the BW character but this is pretty much a case similar to the Masterforce Pretenders. Does anyone really separate Bomb-Burst from Blood, really?
Yeah I did that's why I said that, it came off like you saying that was somehow unique to Victory, otherwise I don't even see why you bothered to mention it. Yeah he's a somebody in one country where tf isn't even that popular. In the other 194 he's almost unheard of. If MP Star Saberbwas a smash hit there's be an MP Victory Leo.
Some retailers outside the US got to be haslabs official partners on the project and we're able to sell it Unicron at or close to retail price. Other retailers in the US resold Haslab Unicron, but they had to buy the stock just like a normal consumer and then resell it. The upcharge was significant. Unicron was originally $575 USD and was usually about $725 with resellers. They also usually required a $100+ non refundable down payment.
This is what always baffled me about the masterpiece figures. They act like Japan was the only market where Transformers was a success. I'm willing to bet the American market is just as big, if not bigger. Then there is the UK. Transformers were also huge in China. They can't even bother to release a version of Beast Wars Megatron with David Kaye's voice for other regions. Yeah, I know the figure wasn't actually released in other regions. That's what makes it so baffling.
