I seriously doubt that Optimus is anything other than a truck.

I see G1 Jazz every time I look at a picture of Mirage but I’m assuming his bot mode will be different enough

Oh just realized the red Pontiac Sunbird must be Jazz since he is a Pontiac Solstice in the 07 movie. The brown and black Oldsmobiles must be Rhinox and Ravage then.

 

Why does this sound like a seventy year old man tried to write urban youth?

 

"we need to appeal to the youth. should we hire young writers?"
"nah, we'll write it ourselves. we're just cuttin' out the middle man, as the kids say!"

 

When it’s written and read out loud it really sounds stupid, but I imagine (or at least hope) that the dialogue will sound more natural with actors actually emphasizing the lines in the context of the scene.
