Absolutely delusional. We were flat out shown Kingdom line's first semester was outselling by 20% the Earthrise line, and there is absolutely no way that a line would do that well based on the mere existence of the couple of G1 guys in Kingdom's first wave. Plus, you know, BW was a line that existed worldwide, while Japanese G1 guys like Star Saber existed in Japan and in tfwiki articles.

Nope, that was the goal. Casual audiences who remember the show but haven't thought about TFs much since are now going to start seeing them around more and may get hooked again (or at minimum start buying them for their own kids). Also, why are we arguing about Star Saber's characterization in IDW as if that is why he isn't getting a toy. IDW Getaway was a manipulative asshole who killed numerous far more well known and popular characters, tried to re-wire Megatron's brain, and destroyed multiple popular relationships in the process. He still got a new toy. IDW's characterization has nothing to do with Star Saber's lack of a new toy. Mostly because general audiences had no idea it was even A Thing (TM).
Yeah, but really, who cares how they release it? Just back it and move on. A lot. If you get away from the bubble around these boards and the more dedicated fans, you'd see why Hasbro feels like this is a risk.

Yes this was actualy leaked. Leak said Star Saber with all of his internal bots plus a Victory Leo stretch-goal if enough Sabers are ordered.
I would drop 300 for a Liokaiser Combiner, unless they reissued the Combiner wars for this, and Deathsaurus wouldn't be bad but to who does he compliment on the shelf, unless they made his wife
100% same. That canned Armada Prime would also be a perfect fit for Haslab... but that's never getting made.
Apparently it was leaked for a second before the leakers realized they goofed by spoiling the surprise and haven't mentioned it since. But Victory Saber does make the most sense.
