There’s also a chance the person in charge of picking your item lost the task while out on the floor. Then the shipping department accidentally manifests it to a delivery truck and it’s never found until you escalate it with Amazon. When this actually happens it means there’s another Galvatron out in that location even though their inventory says there isn’t.

That isn't Amazon's fault. It's the USPS. Amazon ships the package and then the postal service screws up and sometimes loses it.

I would suggest going to your local post office as asking. Many of them are under-staffed right now and aren't delivering mail in time. I was there yesterday for the same reason and they had the package in the back room.

Their picture says "Shipped with Amazon", so it has nothing to do with USPS.

Their shipping agents sometimes turn parcels over to the USPS for final delivery.
But yeah, they aren't the most reliable either.

Do they? Because if USPS is involved for my amazon stuff its always said its shipped via USPS. Granted it doesnt actually show up into the tracking system until it gets to my post office. Every "shipped with amazon" package ive had got delivered by amazon themselves. And they... aren't the best.

Don’t they usually ship an item to you personally if you have prime membership only?

I dont know for sure, but I'd imagine it doesnt matter anymore as Amazon im sure finds it cheaper to own and control the entire end to end of the packages now if possible.

It depends on the location and staffing that day. If they have enough people to do the deliveries and you are in their delivery zone, Amazon prefers to keep it in house. Prime has nothing to do with it. They also still use UPS in addition to USPS for some deliveries. I am not sure if they still use FedEx but I haven't had an Amazon package delivered by FedEx for years.

I hope it all works out for you and you get your fig.
I know they like to redirect.
Sometimes they notify you from the start.
My scorponok said "#hipped from UPS" right from the start.
Previous deliveries have shifted to other carriers for last legs.
    Good Luck!

Absolutely not. That A-Hole got Prime killed! If anything, the forklift is too good for him!

That happened to me with a really expensive item. Asked for replacement. Replacement was lost as well. Lost hope and asked for a refund. Weeks later item #1 arrived followed by item #2 a couple of days later. So basically I got REALLY lucky anf got two for free.

Original item was ordered on April 19, scheduled to arrive April 30, but got to me un June 3.

All that to say your original Galvatron MAY arrive really late.

Completely Amazons fault. They have never used USPS with me and all deliveries have been through Amazon’s delivery service.

Depending on the warehouse that fulfills your order, Amazon can send through their own service, USPS, or even UPS. So, your "never" could be "most of the time"... In this case, according to the screenshot, it does show Amazon fulfillment. Doesn't negate the issue. It happens, and quite a number of folks have had the same experiences, even with other stores.

Ah. I see what you're saying. Dachande isn't wrong, though. It's still the fault of the USPS, because they're just awful right now due to cuts every which way. That said, Amazon shouldn't have used them, not sure why they decided to switch shipping methods on you at the last moment, that's a really odd choice. Perhaps they didn't have room on their local delivery trucks and went with a method they thought would get to you. I don't know.

They sent my wife some supplements and the seal was broken, the item was shipped via USPS. The replacement (perfectly sealed) was delivered by Amazon. (Go figure, even I'm stumped on that one. I'm sure it's nothing more than chance, it's just odd how it played out is all.) I bought some Linksys Velop mesh nodes from their Warehouse deals and it was supposed to be delivered one day but they said it was lost and if I waited two more days they'd give me more options and were asking me to be patient. I got $5.00 out of it, not even an offer of an extension of Prime. On top of that, come to find out it wasn't actually Warehouse, but a 3rd party they were using to fulfill my order and he hadn't even shipped it until the original delivery day. Amazon ended up paying for UPS overnight air to fix that.

So, I see where you're coming from. You're both right, but I think Amazon shoulders a tad bit more of the blame in a lot of cases and rightfully so.

Amazon dropped FedEx a couple of years ago, so it's Amazon Fulfillment, UPS or USPS.

And I've had packages that said "Delivery by Amazon" and it still gets delivered by either UPS or USPS (I've had both), so it's definitely not an always/never thing.

I got an email saying my core Soundwave got cancelled. Sounds like it got lost in shipping.
