Hmmmmm were you among the first to get it shipped out or part of the second batch?

 

1st batch. Got to me in Chicago 7 days after being shipped from show z.

 

Ah alright. I'm just curious as mine shipped a week later so I'm thinking whether Showz might have taken the horns off on batches after the 1st. Mine's left customs and is somewhere on its way here, so here's hoping mine's alright.

 

Oh my god this thing is fucking insane. I love this figure so much. Figured out most of the transformation myself but had to watch a video for the forearm bit. Still blew my mind. White matter all over the figure. EDIT: (white matter as in core brain matter, like grey matter which is outer brain, not talking about... fluid...)

The weight is so satisfying in your hands, it makes you feel like you could swing it like a hammer in truck mode and knock a mofo out.

Horns came attached, early-ish order from TFs Express. Gonna be careful but they feel fine.

What batteries does he take?

 

Currently no budget for both unless they're still around by next month.

 

Get Nero; who knows when he’ll sell out, supposedly UT last figure, dragoon would probably be around for awhile and if you can’t get dragoon BmB has a knock off(slightly smaller) version of dragoon

 

Got a link to the "smaller" Dragoon? I'm hoping to get one that goes well with Knight Orion and I'm hoping both Megatron/Galvatron figures are not too big in comparison to how they are in the films.

I've just got used to Show Z's stock but I wonder if other places with Nero are easier to get by.

 

I don’t have the link to the smaller dragoon but if you do some searching I’m sure you’ll find it; if you see the pictures people have been posting knight orion goes well with Nero; also the smaller dragoon is closer to the size of Nero if your going for that size scale, imo the bmb dragoon may be a better fit since galvatron and both megs in the last knight films were significantly smaller than the first 4 iterations of him in the previous movies

As other have said, get Nero first, then Dragoon, the KO is of lesser quality than the original, but if you are ok with that, then go for it.

Quick rundown is that the plastic isn't as good but not terrible, head is ball-joint mounted but lacks up/down articulation without modification, shoulders are a little hairy during transformation without modification, hands are more articulated, and the sculpt and paint in general more closely resemble Three0. And, of course, it's slightly smaller than the original.

 

Just got mine today but can not figure out what kind of batteries to use for the eyes. Does anyone know? Thanks.

 

Such a shame that UT is ending their run after Galvatron because they could only go up from there.

Looks like I may get Nero after all, though tempted to beat the wait time of Show Z and find another place for the same price.

He's going to look great once I get my hands on Knight Orion as well given how from hands on they go well together.

 

At this point I doubt you'll find a Nero for under $180.

 

It's supposed to take two 337 batteries. I got two of them but the lights won't come on either way I inserted the batteries. Not sure if the light up function or the batteries are dead.

 

I just got my shipment notice from ShowZ, I'm ecstatic.

 

Yay! The head was working... for a moment   then my issue kept repeating itself. The eyes were very bright for a short moment but then they started to fade until the effect was barely visible... And when I've been disassembling the head for the 10th time this happened   


So frustrating. He'd be my figure of the year if not for this... Welp, time to bother ShowZ once again, maybe they'll be able to send a me a new, working head or I'll just buy that one from the Dino model shop. At least I managed to get some pics when everything was fine  

I think it's a similiar issue Zeta's Bee had. The battery compartment is a bit too loose which affects the electrical conductivity. Tried to fix it by folding the battery holder with some conductive tape but again, no success...

Thanks for battery info. I agree the figure is cool. I am a bit disappointed in the figures paint though....it chips was too easy for a $170+ figure. I have been super careful and still have chips on black grill and another on the dark grey paint by the headlight. Bummer.
