Where was the announcement for larger scale BB movie model kits? I never saw one.

Do you mean the small scale Bumblebee??? I think we have a review thread for that one.

 

I was interested in getting the Bumblebee and I was wondering was there anything I should look out for with him, cause I remember reading about something to do with his ankles.

 

They come pre-painted.

The ankles are easy to break given the weird construction. You're inserting a ball joint into a socket at a 45 degree angle while the ball itself is attached via a 90 degree bend. The feet are semi-flexible plastic but not really, so I recommend heating the feet under hot water or a hairdryer to loosen them up before you peg the ankles into them.

Otherwise it's a solid kit and feels like an action figure once assembled. The materials and construction are solid, especially for Trumpeter's first foray into mecha. Only the ankles really seem not terribly well designed, but like I said softening the feet before assembly should easily avoid breakage. (most people have only ever broken one ankle)

 

Yes, but also an unpainted pic of Blitzwing would be nice as well.

Yeah, it is unusual but quite nice, and contributes to the feeling of 'I'm building an action figure" as it already has all the necessary paint apps. Most promo pics are fully painted, but this is what BB looks like out of the box:

This page has a shot of Blitzwing's runners, so you can see how much is prepainted. He's not out just yet so we don't have any straight-built pics.

Yup, the top and middle shelf are the bigger scale figs, the bottom shelf is the Smart Kit lineup. This page has promo renders of the big Bumblebee.

 

Why for the love of al things evil why so many blitzwings he didn\'t last that long in the movie.
shatter and dropkick is the deceptions that company\'s need to start working on 

 

Because Blitzwing has that sweet, sweet G1 Seeker appeal.

I really hope we get Shatter and Dropkick, though. Even if it's just their triple-changer bodies, but I'd like kits of all three of their robot modes.

 

The same reason why anyone with the transformers license rushes to do optimus prime and starscream: easy cash from endless repaints. Plus he's cool looking. I do agree though that I'd love to see a shatter and dropkick.

 

same with people who wanted q toy, wreckers toys, wheelie toy, ravage , soundwave , laser beak toy, from movie series

 

When it comes to the bumblebee movie we got soundwave several times and ravage 1 or 2 times I think and shockwave as well

 

Well, there are no repaints for blitzwing, is simply popularity (same for OP and SS, anyway)

 

Blitzing has arrived. ShowZ tried but failed on this one. Kit is intact though.

 

Almost tempted to cancel my HLJ preorder. I really don't feel like waiting until October to get mine.

Nah just my mail client being shit. They "arrived" about a half hour after I edited my post. I placed an order for Blitzwing and cancelled my HLJ, so hopefully I'll have him by the end of next month.
