I was thinking Star Saber at least, but a Star Saber vs Deathsaurus 2-pack sounds even better than what I was thinking of. (Whatever it is, I hope it’s not Wheeljack again)
no, Pit of Judgement had a remold deluxe (with a new accessory, right???), two all-new Minifigures. AND a significantly more "engineered" box. it might not be as much work as Ravage, but not far off (and being 4 separate pieces, might actually cost more.) Honestly, I wouldn't have batted an eye if the was $40, but $45 is ridiculous for what's included. Look at Netflix Soundwave for what I think is a fair comparison – HEAVILY remolded, more complex voyager with 2 remolded minicons as an exclusive for $40. at $40 Ravage would still have a "fair" convention premium. PotP Punch/Counterpunch was an entirely new figure released as a premium exclusive. sold at deluxe MSRP.
So do I need to get the Pulse Premium to get this guy? I do want this guy but this would effectively make it $95 for me.
Rumours say Star Sabers final goal will be to include victory leo. if true I could see them smashing it easily. I know I'd be down. Ravage being a Pulse Con thing kinda fucks it up for me. Demand and scalpers will be all over this and getting it in the UK is going to be more trouble then what it's worth.
$200 for a Limited Release Commander Class figure that potentially has a bonus Leader Class figure is pretty decent imo.
If its anything like last year, there will be the 1st day where it's premium only and the next day it'll be available to all.
Agent Ravage pack is an instant purchase. Two, in fact since the packaging is so nice. I feel it's worth it as an exclusive and new mold. Without a vested interest in the JPG1 stuff, the Victory tease leaves me underwhelmed. If it's Star Saber it had better be better than the already close-to-perfect MP for me to care. If it's true that a Victory Leo is a stretch goal, then it becomes a maybe since we never got one for the MP line.
The rumor is that Star Saber is $200+ but a stretch goal is getting Victory Leo (presumably sold separately). We damn well better get Victory Leo, as we likely won’t get another chance for Victory Saber! Oh, and hopefully Ravage is easy to acquire like the Pit.
It would need to be worth that $200 on its own outside of the limited run tax, to actually be worth it.
So Ravage's front leg misassembly is widespread then. Good thing they're on balljoints so this won't be another Galvatron situation.
$200 for a Commander Class only? Yeah….no… With Victory Leo included, guaranteed? Show me, Hasbro. With regards to packaging, I’m totally okay with it being thrown into a non-descript brown box, maybe “Transformers WFC” or a faction symbol on it. Otherwise, it’s just extra junk that I throw out anyways. Couldn’t care less about cardboard representing a diorama that I’ll never use. All packaging should go the way of Generations Selects.
Aren't the stretch goals thrown on top of your initial backing? Getting enough people to pay $200 to let them pay more money makes no sense. You might call it nonsense.
V-V-VICTORY! Motivated to find a new pile of things to purge from the collection to fund this stuff when I get home.
