The cartoon always disappointed me in some way or another. I was a little young and didn’t get comics regularly enough really to follow the story. As a kid the file cards were better than the show to me, I’d always go them to know who someone was.

G1 transformers toys were no where near as good as arah joe. The transformers cartoon was the better of the two and helped you see the potential in the idea, it breathed life into the transforming bricks we had. The joe cartoon added so little to the experience and in a lot of ways detracted from the bad asses we were sending on adventures in the back yard.

Hmm, it's more like the shipping company actually that did that to be fair... Granted target could have put it in a bigger box per say, but it beats what Walmart or Amazon could have done and tossed it in a plastic baggie wrap...Granted I feel your pain. The fact that he's still available to order, you could probably bring it up to target csr and get a replacement for it.

I was talking about Transformers in general like how the modern ones resemble the cartoon more which I’m ok with. Agree 100% on the Joes!

The file cards were like a bible for G.I. Joe, one of my biggest regrets was letting my mother throw away my rubber banded stack when I was 11 or 12. They were also written by Larry Hama, incidentally--- he's more or less credited with building the backstories for all (or at least the vast majority) of the original characters.

I need Sunbow Spirit and Sunbow Storm Shadow, because everyone knows they are arch-enemies ;)

But seriously, I do want them...

There are a handful of characters I really want in their Sunbow designs (Shipwreck, Quick Kick, Bazooka, Spirit). The bummer is that they won’t match well with Classified…and I know I can’t go all-in on multiple Joe lines. I’m hopeful that Hasbro releases versions of those characters first that are close enough to Sunbow to satisfy me. So far, they’ve done a pretty good job of it, IMO.

I'm in the same pocket as others who are just sticking with Classified.
Not that interested in a "G1 to a fault" line that wouldn't scale with other figures, and unwilling/unable to invest in another line.

Cheers to everyone that's interested and excited for a Sunbow line though. :thumb

Edit: Target Beach Head came in today. First one's for my bro, just need to find one for me. For those who are curious about the variant, brown eyes. Trooper #3 showed up too. Things are very much looking up with Target. Early morning ordering hijinks notwithstanding, they need to stay the course.

Yeah, I think you’re right that it was probably damaged in shipping, so I can’t say that it was all on Target. But they were definitely deficient in their packing of the item. The box it shipped in is almost the same size as the item itself, so no room for padding. So of course when the shipping box took the damage, the item inside basically took the same damage. Disheartening to say the least, for a figure that it seems like I’ve been after for over a year. Their customer service person did seem helpful, to be fair, and said that they were going to ship me a replacement. Which will be sufficient, provided that the replacement figure arrives in passable condition.

I need to see the actual figures of the S7. IMO the sculpts will be good, the issue will be the QC on the paint applications...tbh the only thing putting me off is the scale. If these were like 6-inch scale like Marvel Legends or Star Wars Black Series, I would be probably all over them. I don't want to restart my collection.

The beauty of having a universal scale was because a lot of companies were doing it, allowing collectors like me to have a shared universe (a multiverse of sorts)...for some franchises like MOTU Classics I can accept if they're "bigger" because of the theme (e.g. characters being more muscular etc).

@Johnny1378 my Trooper came in the same kind of box. Nearly exact match to the box inside, no padding. Makes them a pain to get out too. Beach Head was similar, excepting that the box was deeper. Otherwise a snug fit though.

Do you think the dull knife blade was intentional or something to do with the cast? Doesn't bother me that much. I rarely have them holding their knives.

Picked up a Snake Eyes movie Storm Shadow today. Not sure how the movie will turn out, but the figure looks pretty good.

Regarding the Super7 line, I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re including in wave 1. After seeing the teaser pic, it’s safe to say Snake Eyes is a lock.

I’ve got too many irons in the fire with various toy lines to go all in on a Super7 line, at this point, but I might buy a few of my favorites.

My Trooper and Firefly have shipped from Target, 2022 is going to be the year of Toys for me lol

S7 Timber looks interesting, I wouldn't mind having 2 as just regular wolves that I can throw in any display

Sunbow is a def pass for me, I loved the cartoon as a kid but I enjoyed Sigma6 & Resulte way more, though I'm not sure I'd buy figures from the latter

If the barcode is the same, I wonder if someone bought the field version then returned their original on that receipt. or, repacked to cheat the system.
