It's not an argument or an insult. It's the difference between G1'ers who are fans of G1 and Geewunners, who think that everything should be G1 with no room for any change whatsoever.

Especially since everything else known up to this point that isn't effectively a nameslapped new creation has largely played close to the G1 source material, it makes Mirazz stick out like a sore thumb.

To play devil's advocate here, isn't that basically the Disney method of simply copying their old animated films from the 90s into "live action" (seriously they called Lion King "live action" when it was legitimately less live action than The LEGO Movie)? Hell, a straight adaptation of the original film, using the original voices (maybe digitally remastered) and soundtrack actually could be more profitable than the film's original run purely going off of the 80s vibe and how Prime's emotional death these days is more a given cheesy 'yeah that always happens to him' thing.

Plus, holy shit the Junkion planet would be amazing in CGI. They could do so much with the Junkions reforming themselves.

Dino was a Sideswipe looking car and was mentioned as being Mirage a lot, so now Mirage gets to be Sideswipe and Jazz!

I know you think it means something descriptive but I'm telling you it's a vague label that is just liberally applied to many different people, often by people who only read about it on Tfwiki and were too young to have been around to actually encounter said people when they were much more prevalent. It probably served a purpose at one point but nowadays it's just a label often used to shut down arguments without having to actually engage with them.

People who are fanatical about the generation or series they like most exist for literally every major series, so singling out "Geewun" is stupid.

 

It does seem similar to the Dino/Mirage thing from years ago, so you may be on to something there.

 

Alright lets not these new images spark a new pointless heated discussion. Honestly we should be more worried as to whether this mirage will actually have character.

 

Considering I've been here longer than you, and was around when it was described as the difference that I mentioned above, I'll keep using it when it's appropriate.

And you literally don't see any other generational fan expect something to be just Unicron Trilogy, or just Bayverse, in many cases just because G1 was first.

 

Two wrongs don't make a right, maybe you could be the better person? Just because some people misbehave doesn't mean you should use that as an excuse to act up as well.

By choosing to do a wrong thing after being told that it's wrong you only prove your own ignorance, but I can't control what you do. It sounds to me like you're just too lazy to get out of a bad habit that's stifling your ability to make an argument. This isn't about getting 'worked up', it's about you making bad arguments.

I can honestly say that I'm not of that mind set. I want creative new stories with modern day versions of the OG crew, as well as brand new characters. If they want to add characters from other universes, that's fine with me. I would love stories set on Cybertron and its neighboring planets, without Earth and humans.

I saw the original 1986 TF Movie in the Theater 3 times, I never saw anyone leave the movie, but heard the stories of some upset kids when Prime died and angry parents writing to Hasbro. I heard cheers in the theater, not a lot of movies get loud crowd reactions in a theater where everyone else hears it, but that movie did.
