Well the Decepticon jets would still be Decepticons in shattered glass, just with red symbols instead of purple and new color schemes. The seekers though, they would be Autobots, but only because seekers are what the Autobots call the cars in shattered glass
Siege Jetfire isn't my cup of tea personally, Sky Lynx blows Jetfire out of the water, far as Commanders go. But I'm glad to see there's a lot of people excited here. He definitely looks cool in black! I hope Shattered Glass proves popular enough that they do a second series. Fully expecting a Sideswipe + Visper 2-pack at some point, Hasbro wouldn't let that repaint go un-re-painted! Reflector would also be pretty cool, just putting it out there Hasbro
I preordered a SG Jetfire. I already pre-ordered 2 SG Starscreams, 1 SG Megatron, 1 SG Blurr, and 1 SG Goldbug, and have 1 SG Ratchet and Prime so why not get the last one. I'm giving these all to my son, but I'll play with them when he isn't (except for one of the SG Starscreams that I will hang with the other Siege Tetra Jets in my office in jet mode). He loves his SG Prime and Nemesis Prime, so he will freak when he sees SG Jetfire! We only know a little bit about the Shattered Glass story, so we just make up our own lore about it until we start getting these comics with the figures.
Hasbro says that some kind of variant cover is the Hasbro Pulse Exclusive. It doesn't say that the figure itself is an exclusive.
I highly doubt the Comic book has anywhere near a $10 value.... Would probably struggle to get $5 off that thing if I tried selling it.
The Chosen Prime has Shattered Glass Blurr in-stock $36.99 if you guys can’t wait until ~Sept 1 from Hasbro Pulse: Transformers Generations Selects Shattered Glass Collection BLURR
Even if there is an established story no reason you can't keep making your own lore anyway. SG itself started as part of a multiversal storyline so the fiction itself says there's plenty of other universes around it; one of those could be yours.
Did a quick look at the dc comics app. Looks like single issues are running between $3.99 and $5.99. Not sure if print price is different or not.
