Multiverse Problems in Transformers #32 [Preview] (bleedingcool.com)

 

While I'm not a huge fan of the series, I do enjoy the fact that it's giving characterization to bots who haven't had much (of any) in the previous series, like Jumpstream.

 

The overall story does not interest me and this issue was particularly bad. However, I'm interested to see where Bumblebee's story is going and that's the solicit for next issue, so maybe one more.

 

The whole comic should be that RI cover. That is such an amazing cover.

 

It kinda cracks me up how much Nyx sticks out when compared to the others.  

 

I'd care more about Nyx if she was actually Sonar before she became a Transmetal.

 

This forum to the beasts war’s comics art style be like:  

 

This art style is just terrible. It \'s like Animated but without any curves, everything is sharp and pointy and undetailed. This should look like the cover art, that looks nice and detailed.

 

Oh look. It's a TECH LAB, written in English.

This could have been a fun use of Cybertronix, for fans to look up what it said. But no, put it in English. Take all the fun out of it.

I wonder is Taratulus is gonna find Protoform X in that lab...
Also Airrazor is on the RI cover but she\'s not in the comics yet. She\'s probably there cos of Kingdom...

Actually the first panel of Tarantulas walking by it IS written in Maximal text, just hard to see in this preview. It translates for your human eyes' sake in the panels that follow
I'm not without the occasional burst of cleverness

 

the trouble is that IDW doesn’t get it. They are in no position to allow their writers and artists to embark on personal flights of fancy that don’t appeal to the readers. The amount of readers this art style appeals to I imagine would be a far smaller number than those who just want characters to look like they do in the TV show or their modern toys. Not this exaggerated proportions aesthetic they have gone on now.

 

I've seen nothing but praise for the book outside this website, and it's been extended beyond the initial six issues. It's clearly appealing to enough people just fine.
