Ordered the DNA Designs Jetfire kit from ShowZ last night. Thanks to some points I'd saved up, I was able to get it for less than €30 posted, which is a pretty good deal I reckon!

I was gonna guess Fireburst Optimus, but I see you've already confirmed it's leader Ironhide :p

Depends on what you're looking for I suppose. He's definitely painted better, so if you weren't happy with the DOTM version in that regard, and maybe prefer the hard-top roof version of the car mode, then it's probably worth it. If those are all just trivial details, then probably not

Personally, I like the look of the ROTF version more than the DOTM version, but I don't think I'm gonna go out of my way to get him. Sideswipe isn't a figure I've messed around with much, so I'm not super eager to spend another €25 on essentially the same toy to stand around on my shelf

For me I am definitely picking him up. The robot mode paint is just so much better especially the headsculpt. I also prefer the darker base colour which does feel more realistic in some regards. Vehicle mode also looks superb. I once thought about getting 2 dotm ones but now it's even better since they both look different.

I would definitely recommend Roadbuster although he has a bigger backpack. Topspin us growing on me but I feel he's the weakest of the trio. The proportions and design choices don't sit well with me and roadbuster is much more solid for my copy. I do feel that roadbuster lacks paint so if you can I reccomend painting a little

As some one who had both BA and BMB Prime, if BMB stretches the limits of your patience, stay clear.. I had the same issue and decided to get a BC-01 Optimus. That one is a straight up MPM sized MPM Prime, I now went for the BMB again and even consider the DOTM one cause he is fun.. keep him or find a BC Prime if scale is your thing.

The fact that SS Ironhide set precedent for that happening on a non-exclusive item amazes me to this day.

I've been on the fence with this figure for over a year now. I actually have a very "vivid" memory of being a 18-19 and working at Walmart and seeing it on an endcap and of course at the time, didn't care a thing about Transformers. LoL

So fast forward and the last year, prices seemed to really fluctuate on it. $60-100+ seemed to be what I would see for NIB. I already have the other, better Ironhides, but being my favorite, I decided to grab it after someone cut me a deal for one she had for a long time, still NIB. Since I started collecting only a couple years ago, I missed a lot of the older movie releases and tbh, almost all of them didn't appeal to me.

I looked up tons of videos to sort of decide if I wanted to get it or not. I hate the backpack, arms, and the blue legs, but I figured it would be nice to open and mess around with and maybe do some photos. To be honest, if it weren't for the price, I probably wouldn't have gotten it since there are tons of other fantastic figures that I could spend the money on. I'm still pretty excited to get it at the same time so once I get it, I'm definitely going to come running on here with my thoughts!

    /Long post
ps: if anyone has any Ironhides* they recommend let me know!

Hey congrats, for me that was the one i let get away. If i find one for a good price i will consider it. Most of my IH needs have been satisfied by the Studio and MPM versions so i hope you can find them. The MPM should not be so bad, and if need be the os bmb version can fill the void.

I seem to be the odd one out but I would recommend Topspin. He's got the lame rubbery guns, but Roadbuster is an absolute pain in the ass to transform and has next to no posability options with the big backpack hindering his hips, and it completely ruins his silhouette too. Outside of the rubbery guns, Topspin is a decently solid figure imo, which is more than can be said for Roadbuster

Recon Ironhide from the tail end of the Revenge of the Fallen line was one I always wanted, but never got. He never made it to shops over here, and goes for stupid money on the aftermarket now

Why the hell is APS-02 Brawl so rare? Was he made in more limited numbers than APS-01?

I wouldn't say he's going for that much (at least here in the US). A lot of the listings on Ebay ended below $45, which isn't terrible for a 12 year old Voyager figure.

Looks like you got the Reprolabels for DOTM Prime?! How do you like them - I'm mulling it over now that there are a couple of sets out I'm interested in.

Also where did you get the rifle, is that Dr. Wu?

I wish I could get one for less than $45. I can't even find a regular 2007 voyager Ironhide for that much at the moment. I'm outside the US unfortunately. Most listings I see go for €80-100, if not more, once you've factored in shipping and the estimated import tax that Ebay makes you pay in advance if a seller is using their global shipping centre, or whatever it's called

Stupid money is probably a bit of an exaggeration, but it's a bit more than I'd like to pay for a voyager figure, regardless of how old it is

I think they're a bit expensive, which is why I didn't get them til months after they were available, but once I slapped them on there I was very pleased. The color matching is pretty good and they haven't started to peel like some other reprolabels sets I've had (I'm looking at you, TLK voyager optimus). I'd recommend them, although they're best when complementing paint details you've added yourself.

Rifle is from ebay, they're all over! Link below I can vouch for this seller):

There are only a few to like in TF4, Stinger is one of them!

SS KSI Sentries’ metallic plastics are better than SS Stinger’s gloss plastic. Let’s hope SS Stinger got a Premium Finish treatment in the future.
