Nice and agreed about swappable hands. I would almost prefer, in a perfect world, if we could get the basic (most commonly use ones like 5mm port, point and so forth) static hands, and articulated swappable via a base port. I too found an old sword to give mine and Eris seems to like her new bling

 

I like the cannons over her shoulders like that... I'll have to give that a try. Do they plug in somewhere, or are they just hanging there?

 

My replacement hand will be here by the end of the week, thankfully. It’s been sad not to be able to really do much posing for fear of breaking the current hand worse.

 

Anyone thought of switching the hands between mmc tarn with eris?

 

So the guns are kinda plugged into her backpack but not super secure. The little tabs on the gun can loosely plug into the holes in the tank tread backpack then you need to pull the barrels off the peg till they are almost falling off but not quite so you can clear her head. It looks awkward from about any angle but straight on but I still think it looks neat.

At long last my Eris can stand!

 

Inspired by this set to put together a villain shelf.

Only my 2nd time transforming her. She really does have the best treads they roll so damn good.

 

Dude, they are so fluid that I keep panicking and thinking that they are coming apart and detaching every time my hand brushes them. They’re like greased bearings. After so many toys with static treads— hell, practically all of them— it is so wild that these are more fluid than a set of wheels.

Before this, I was really privately hung up on how many MMC Reformatted releases had sculpted treads but no hidden wheels. I practically never transform Spartan, because his treads are painted and I don’t even want him resting on them for prolonged periods. Now, they go and give us Eris and it is such a massive 180 from that experience.

 

I remember @RVDA said something about the engineering inside being cool. Do either of you have access to pics or info how it works? I'm blown away by how well they work.

 

Her toes are supposed to go in the back of the turret.  

 

Time for another round of Flame vs MMC articulation. Eris fairing well as a 100 dollar transforming toy vs a 400 dollar non-transforming toy.

At least until I tried pose 3 in which case Eris having a side tilt in her lower ab that gets locked when you crunch her forward prevents her upper body from being able to replicate the nice tilt n pivot you can get out of the upper torso of Flames Tarn to make such a deep knee bend squat pose look more natural.

Her treads are amazing. Best tank treads of any transformer ever.

 

Well, at least Tarns knees look natural when bent.
