Ooooooooooooo this is beautiful, I love that green, might get this and use it as a new chug jetfire (I know its chug, more like a new g1 jetfire for me)
Well for me, it's just a color swap....not interested, mainly price. Surprised, not even a head remold, the colors are nice. It's a good mold though.
Robot mode with armor is OK. But without the armor: that is one slick looking deco. I can see this guy appreciating considerably on the aftermarket.
Wonder if this may coincide with a reissue of Siege Jetfire. That'd be nice. I know Pulse has restocked it before but it didn't quite work with my finances at the time.
Probably, considering SG!Starscream is likely the noble and scientific one, unless Shattered Glass Rodimus or Magnus comes into play, SG!Jetfire would likely be playing Optimus’ right hand lackey like regular Starscream would to Megatron. Though I could see him in a reverse role of Seekers in the WFC as Optimus’ Air support, who betrays the Seeker leader (likely Sideswipe if Shattered Glass sticks to somewhat old canon), so as to take charge in reverse of regular Jetfire and Starscream. Likely to be betrayed and stabbed in the back by Rodimus when he comes around. Maybe put on ice, heh…
Definitely one of the characters i would have never imagined back in 2012 of getting an official release. Really was nothing more than a fun little cameo. Even the colors were just dropped in on the fly. The emphasis was actually directed towards SG Stepper, since there was always regret over that choice of a color scheme. He was the one I wanted to see get a second chance, splitting that character in two and releasing him in the BotCon 2015 set. Anyway. Hasbro wrapped it at 6/7. Very happy with the line overall! That said. Series 2??? More Cons!
Dang this looks super nice! I picked up and repurposed the Dark Skyfire mold last year and I think that fits my SG collection better. If I hadn’t already gotten Siege Jetfire then maybe, but I can’t justify such a large pricey figure that’d replace a smaller pricey figure I just bought. I am trying to pick up the comic that comes with him though, so if you don’t want it, let me know!!
Strange, you'd expect to see at least some new molded piece on this figure given the previous four and especially considering the rumored price. Insanely cool figure, but I really can't justify buying a normal commander, let alone a shattered glass one. That being said, I really hope to see a lot more SG in generations selects moving forward. I'm especially hoping for Rodimus (ss86 hot rod), Thundercracker (ER mold), and Magnus (Siege or Kingdom, either works).
On the box it mentions him switching allegiances from Decepticons to Autobots so I think it might still be there. It’s probably the red Decepticon symbol though since it’s SG.
