i am now even more confused with this update. so does that mean they really are selling the grey test runs first. or does it mean the colored version will drop sometime around oct.

 

I think the listings are just pre-orders, and the actual finished product with color will be released Q3, but don't quote me on that.

 

I’ll stick with my MFT version..

 

I heard rumors in Chinese that the toy will be sold as it is (no painting). Really weird.

Hmm interesting. $34.99 (or 33.99 with preorder deposit match) prices it lower than Mechanic Studio / MFT's Blitzwing.

But, per the listing:

- Shoulder fix part to cover the joint

So it really is just an all-gray prototype-looking figure. And it already comes with "upgrade" kit to fix issues...

I kinda need to know if they will make a color one later, or if this is it. But if they're trying to fund a color one by selling a grey one... or something... ugh.

 

WTF are they thinking? All gray? And it comes with "upgrade" kits to fix issues? Maybe...I dunno...put it together with the right parts in the first place and don't mention your unreleased thing needs fixes already.

It's like watching a slow motion car crash. With stupid release tactics like this it deserves to fail.

Should have gone to someone like Jinbao to pump these out with colored plastic and a little paint. I'd even be willing to put it together myself like a model kit, but no way in hell am I painting it all up.

 

Bet the designer are testing the water to see are we consumer dumb enough to buy this graykit and if not , they gonna pump some random upgrade kit again to convince us to buy it.

Yeah, me too I guess. While the MFT one is decent, these alt modes look way better, and he'll be smaller, and I kind of just want all things Blitzwing. I'm happy to paint him, hopefully when assembled you can still get to the cracks and crevices with a brush. I know a lot of places will rub off. I guess I'll be more annoyed in a way if they do actually make a color one later, since it'll be money and time and wasted, but not getting him and missing the chance for this super cool little guy would make me even more cross. What are you going to do?!

 

Ok now with more info.
They make a figure that has problems and know them before production and instead of going back to drawing board, they decided to make upgrade parts to 'fix' it ?.
No paint ?
Hard pass for that price, make it a 15 buck build kit instead and I will maybe bite.
I am not going to paint a figure that is build, too much trouble for that price and the added paint cost since I do not use cheap craft acrylics.
Yes I know I will not use the entire botttle but I need to get extra colours for this so,NOOOOOO

 

Either have a customizer do a diaclone paint job on it or a realistic one with desert camo on the jet and the tank. I’ve thought about getting multiple and giving it a different bb movie headsculpt. Lots of possibilities
