They mightn't be pumping the physical releases out on a par with last year, but credit where it's due: they've done an amazing job of bringing their scheduled slate bang up to date over the past month.

They have made it lately so you have some extra work to do before committing to an order if you want to make sure you're getting the price that appeared to be the total price. 2 weeks ago I decided to order a G-Creation Dark blade Sixshot and Bombusbee had him for $149 when everyone has him for $160ish to $175ish and showed free shipping which really was free and that was great! Got him 2 days ago, awesome! He is very big with accessories so the box was large which further surprised me with the free shipping.

I was not paying attention to Apache at all then see him pop up at ShowZ for $169 and in record speed I hit buy NOW! And when I heard you @Blingotron were on the hook at Bombusbee for $199 + the extra $25 for shipping, I couldn't believe it! That's like a price difference from China stores to U.S. stores not neighboring Chinese stores! I felt really bad for you and others paying that much difference  . I got over it quick, lol

Agreed. However, as was pointed out below your post, this isn't as toon faithful as it could have been. It isn't a real world Porsche but it isn't a penny racer, either.

@dalianjj actually JUST DMed me and said that Black Conoy was their top customer, so the entire FT line is canceled now.

 

I know how you feel, I've been in that position plenty of times. All things considered, with fanstoys recent prices it's not a bad price unless there are negative things I'm not aware of with Apache that should make him a cheap figure. I'm sure if they dont sell out soon ShowZ will be raising the price. They have raised prices on the insecticons to $189 each, ouch!

 

Tho I meant it in a light hearted way I'm also quite serious. Still waiting on acoustic wave from like 2012.

 

They definitely gave me a false impression when I first got into MP collecting at the start of 2020. Everyone made it sound like every FT release was this distant thing that would take numerous years to come out.

Yet since then they've been pumping out more G1 MP than literally every other MP producer combined. My wallet was not properly prepared for the coming onslaught.

 

That's true, the masterpiece game is completely ruined by FT fart inhalers, been saying this for years now. It's not like there's multiple other third party options or anything. Supreme overlord FansToys has taken over. Gone are Zeta, MMC, Ocular Max, and everyone else, shame FT killed them all and ruined the MP collecting game. Because they're so overrated and I don't have other options!!!!!!!

Sure is a shame that Takara only charges $300 for their MP figures when FT is charging less with better quality. They're really ruining the Masterpiece collecting game. How dare they! I'm so glad I stopped inhaling farts and saw the light that FANS TOYS IS RUINING EVERYTHING!!!!

They have? So Takara, MMC, XTB and Transform Element have stopped making Masterpiece figures? They’ve also limited releases so much that you can still find their latest figures for retail price until the supply runs out like in the past?

Don’t like the price increases? Cool. Or the fanboys? I’m right there with you. Think they make questionable design decisions and could improve in their engineering and articulation? Agreed. But let’s get over this notion that Masterpiece collecting was ever a cheap hobby where the shelves were overflowing with product. The only time that was even remotely true was when Hasbro mass-produced some figures for Walmart and TRU.

 

I agree with the sentiment, but be honest now...TT have charged 300+ for one figure? THE flagship figure. FT are now charging just under that for a whole chunk of their bots, a large number of which are likely to have qc issues just the same (Thomas, Sheridan, new insecticons having same historical problems).

The sooner people just accept that each has it's place on your shelf, the happier tfw would be. At least on the MP side of things at least
