i literally had a jazz figure in my hand, looked down and saw an astrotrain one and my mind was like "jazz...on astrotrain, that's kinda cool"

it really could be cool because if jazz were to change his colors and go undercover, he'd be the best choice because of how open minded and adaptable he is. i literally thought he'd somehow end up on astrotrain with a bunch of high ranking cons and is getting eyed suspiciously by barricade.

barricade: "doesnt that guy there kinda look like an autobot?"

other decepticon: "well yeah, but you have the same body make as like thirty autobots, so what's your point?"

 

The way Marvel wrote it, Powermasters weren't a power-up, but a necessity. My Marvel knowledge isn't exactly the best, but from what I remember, the Powermasters needed their partners to be attached to them in robot mode if they wanted to survive, thus, they needed the Powermasters if they wanted to transform.

 

Yeah, I think that's basically how it went.

Wasn’t Jazz a Pontiac? And didn’t he die in the first Bayformers movie? And didn’t Pontiac “die” two years later?

Sorry, but Bayformers Jazz wouldn’t be sitting pretty as a Cayman today. A shame, too, because that’s exactly how I see him in modern-day form.

I figured the Cayman would sit in well because the Pontiac always looked pretty Porsche-y to me. Also, he was a Porsche in G1 so it’s not like there’s no precedent to it.

 

Same argument for Sideways, then. Dead is dead. “Where they are now” would be in a scrap yard. (I admit that I had no idea who Sideways was and had to look him up.)

However, I do such imagination exercises with the G1 cast all the time just for fun (and in my Transformers universe, it’s 1985 and no one has died yet). In that respect, I find nothing wrong with your list that the removal of a few GM vehicles won’t solve. My passion for cars exceeds that for Transformers, and while I’m not a brand-loyal car guy, I feel that GM’s offerings are largely sub-par in today’s market. The ‘07 movie is riddled with them only because of the paid advertising, not because they were the ideal alt modes. But, to each their own— it’s your list.

 

I love how Beast Wars Metals Jaguar just has a picture of Megatron in his chest. His profile mentions how he's a veteran of the Destron war but after getting a new body he no longer has those memories, so I'm wondering if he knows why he has a picture of some guy in his chest.

 

Am I the only one who thinks Optimus Prime's origin in war dawn is weirdly similar to Robocop's.
