Have you heard from Agabyss on your bugs?

 

Marked as shipped out of the blue late Thursday evening. They shipped USPS which was a new one for me (they've always shipped FedEx in the past).

 

The back of his head splits to allow access to the bug head. where it looks like theres a seam between the front and back half. Its hinged.

 

Right on. I found it after someone else mentioned it. Really makes a big difference tho. Thanks

 

yeah, the annoying thing is I dont think its anywhere in the instructions, but its clearly necessary if you want to get the visor up enough that its not obstructing the bot face and to get the visor down in basically any condition

Starting to mess with the bugs, and I'm running into some issues with Forager.

The hinge at the back of the head is extremely loose. If I lay Forager horizontally in robot mode, the head just flips back with no friction. Also, the yellow chest piece sits loosely on the chest. It starts to flip down if the figure leans slightly forward.

Anybody else run into this, or am I doing something wrong? I have not transformed it yet. QC pass #30 for those keeping score.

 

The chest looseness was a problem on the original release but I haven’t heard of it so far with this one, and the loose head is new. I guess some Kiki or floor polish to tighten em up?

 

Literally just put some kiki on my chest piece yesterday. Just happened to notice it walking by. It wasnt bad but wouldnt stay flush. No problems with the head tho(so to speak).

 

I have a whole bottle of Future floor polish, so I'll most likely go that route. Just a little surprised at the issues for a brand new figure.

 

Yeah, I have 2 of the new Forager and neither had the issue but I avoided opening the chest much knowing it could get loose, I just hung it upside down to see if it started to open.

 

Speaking of the head, the neck on mine is a bit wobbly. Is there any good way to fix that without unscrewing the top piece? I'm not sure I want to risk stripping those screws.

 

Finally received my Forager to complete the FT Insecticon set. I was able to get the other two at the original MSRP back in the day, but struck out on Forager (I think I started buying 3rd party figures maybe a year after these were released). Didn't think I'd ever be able to complete the trio without paying crazy prices, so it's cool to finally have Forager at an OK-ish price ($150 from ShowZ).

 

Lol you're pretty much me if I did hold on to Mercenary/Grenadier. I just got frustrated hunting down Forager and within 5+ years of waiting/hunting,I gave up and sold the remaining 2 Bugs and said screw it. Looking back I sure made the right choice getting WarBotron Onslaught over Forager @ the time LOL.! Must be a hell of a feeling to finally finish up the set. Congrats!

Thanks! I ended up putting one on, it needs to be well lit to see it properly (not as bad as FT magnum though), but it looks good

 

My FT Forager came with rusty screws and pins in the left leg this summer. I can't find my original post.

FT sent me a replacement leg! Now that shelf feels truly satisfying to look at (for me, anyways)!

Anyone has "official" final pictures of FT-14? Not sure if FT did not create a lot for it, but I found none online.
