Took the single Dracodon from Hamburg Wal-Mart. They have a Galvatron (pictured), but based on all the comparison shots, I'm pretty sure it's the one with bad shoulders. If someone could please confirm it's the bad shoulder version and I didn't make a huge mistake leaving him behind, please and thank you.

 

That's the bad shoulder one for sure.

 

Here you go. If you see that the top of the shoulder is smooth in between the joint, it’s the correct version. If it has the ratchet part showing in between the joint, it’s the incorrect version. Hope this helps so it’s easier to spot

 

I'm debating making the trip when I get off work to see if he's still there. I dont mind fixing the shoulders myself. What kills me is, I was in Hamburg today but ran out of time before I could go to Walmart.  

 

I thought the difference was the pin-holes!? Thought I’d seen where someone stated that if u had the incorrect version that the pin-holes would be facing front whereas on the correct version the pin-holes would face to the back..? And that people were OK with the incorrect version because then you can plug galvatrons weapon into it or use them as 5mm ports..?!? the pictures version looked to have the pin-holes not facing front but rather rectangular looking slots indicating the correct version?? I can’t see the ratchet joints in that boxed shot to be able to tell by that difference

no, its all about the ratchet joints, its easy to spot. if you see the grooves on top with the rectangles out its on wrong

 

Above is the in-package comparison.
The rectangular hole is facing forwards in both versions as it must be to facilitate transformation.
Rectangular peg on wrist inserts into that shoulder slot to help form cannon treads.
The peg holes in question are on rear of shoulders.
You can rotate the arms around so pin holes faces forward.
Ir's easier than "fixing" the shoulders.
It's just an aesthetic choice.
It won't affect transformation whatsoever.
You'll just have to remember to rotate arms back to slot-forward position before transforming.

 

Found a Galvatron at outer loop Target, but noticed the tape has been cut on the bottom on the way to checkout.
Had customer service pull him out for me, everything looked ok so I bought him.
Now to fix those dang shoulders.

I fixed mine using this method. I ended up finding a cheap upholstery kit at auto zone. Doesn’t stress the plastic or leave any marks.

 

This method seems like the best one.
Thanks for the Auto Zone tip, I was going to do Amazon if walmart didn’t have the kit. I didn’t think about just hitting Autozone across the st.

I know he’s basically fine with the bad shoulders, but they’ll be in the back of my mind forever urking me until I fix em.

I was actually in florence for a friends wedding. Dang and noticed i hadnt got sightings alerts all week.
