Doing everything on one leg is a pain in the ass, but this shot specifically is something I’m very proud of.

I had to lure my cat to me without chasing her, calm her down enough to want a nap, put her in her special cabinet spot next to her cat tent, bring Snarl over quickly enough and snap the photo without her looking away.

Well, you just saved me a lot of annoyance. The face plates on these new ones are even tighter and there is just no way to get them out without damaging the backs of the heads. That's really frustrating.

 

I feel your pain, literally! I had to live hobbling around on one leg for just over a year and half of it was with my leg braced so I couldn't bend my knee, that made things very difficult! Nerve damage never let's me forget the pain. Nice pics btw!

I guess it depends on the product. Some newer products have gotten much better in application and results only requiring it to be sprayed like a one or two stage paint, pretty easy. Take the Alsa Chrome kit for example, it's by far the easiest to spray, looks just like real chrome, and is actually durable enough that it can be left as is not requiring clear. It doesn't even need to have a gloss black base coat sprayed first and comes in aerosol cans or small jars for air brushing.

 

I should’ve added this one of the group, but here’s the lineup so far. Reximus Prime takes a lot of shit, but I really like how he pairs with them.

 

I suppose it's been about three years or so since i did any research into chrome. I'll have to take a look at Alsa.

 

It's pretty cool stuff and seems mostly directed at automotive use so it's made to be very durable which has been a drawback for a lot of chrome paints. I can't say enough how amazing the stuff is!

I think he looks great! I have one on the way, the all gold version so I have some painting to do. The good thing about that is I can match the way Gigasaurs look to get him really looking the part! Then I saw the hand mod using KFC hands for Magus or Star Saber and it brings him even closer.

 

I had a feeling these chest panels opened. Can’t imagine why. Looks cool inside though.

 

I've toyed with the idea of buying a chrome MP-08X OS to pair better with them, but he's already a pretty good fit, so I might just leave it as is. The Reximus figures can be so fragile that I don't want to risk trading them out quite yet.

Plus, with a FansToys set already started, I might as well just stick with what I have.

 

Checked tracking earlier, and he's currently resting in the city next door. Estimated to arrive Monday morning according to Royal Mail. Such a difference to the recent arrival (Red Swoop) and that guy can fly! 

 

They're really a remarkable set. I had always wanted the metallic GP figures until I saw these in person.

There's more surface area to add surface detailing and paint this way, lol. Giga loves their paint!

I would like to have that extra head for my Gutter. I hope Gigapower will sell them apart from Dinos.

Glad to finally have all the boys together!

 

Mine is still limping it's way here but that's par for the course with every shipment i've had lately. I could warm myself in Antarctica with all the anticipatory hand rubbing i'm doing waiting for this guy.  

 

This last stretch of the order/shipment has unexpectedly slowed down! Unless it does a surprise update that it's in town and heading out for delivery, 4 days sitting with FedEx in Wisconsin is a little excessive. Maybe that's trade off for it going in and out of customs and someone decided the process was going too fast!

 

Yup, that's where mine says it is. New Berlin, Wisconsin and it's been there for days.
