Oh yeah, I totally agree. Certain companies def charge more because they can. Honestly I can't wait for things to flatten out.

On the Internet, especially a forum, one can claim to be whatever or whomever they want, so that’s also not evidence. I can claim to be the sheriff of my town. I can claim to be married with 3 kids or a single woman with double D’s who feels lonely and just wants to talk toys with geeks. Absolutely zero way to conclusively prove they have any relation to Fanstoys besides a confirmation from dalianjj.

Toy forums are chock full of people who personally know Todd Mcfarlane, have had dinner with Randy from Neca, did blow off the navels of Japanese hookers with Brian Goldner of Hasbro… and other ridiculous credentials.

I am Bobby Skullface......and i am also dalian jj. Under my djj screen name i was able to get information out about my product and then use my bsf youtube personality to drive up hype for it. If you notice i started this dpuff acct in dec just before i decided to ignore my djj acct. This way i can pretend to be just another collector and get more in depth feedback. All in all its worked out great and i cant thank you all enough for all your money

I've been doing a little research since I was able to secure this, mainly around the colour choices.

While AW definitely looks way more toon than MP-13, I do think the colours are slightly off to the majority of Soundwave's appearances. The blue should be a tad darker and the white a very light grey. It actually looks like they've gone for the colours used in season two, the Akom stuff. I don't dislike it, but it's an interesting choice.

I think I'm gonna mix and match the cassettes though. I'll definitely swap out Rumble, Frenzy and Ravage, but the new Laserbeak isn't toon accurate at all (the wings are all wrong for a start). That way I can have Buzzsaw as well for the best of both worlds. I'm assuming they'll be close enough in size to scale without it being too obvious. I kinda wish Ravage's rockets were more of a flat grey too, but the figure is such a big improvement over the MP I'm really just nitpicking in the extreme.

This is gonna be an expensive six months for me. I currently have eight or nine bots on order, only one of which I've paid in full (Virtus) and Outrider aside they're all due before December! Still, I saved a load last year given that hardly anything was released.

 

But will they, though? Isn't there like a 2" difference in scale between MP-13 and FT AW? That seems pretty significant.

 

Nah, the MP is nowhere near that tall. It's roughly nine inches, same as this. I was actually hoping this would be a little shorter to scale with Shockwave, but it's only a half inch difference. Looking at more pics I think the birds will scale pretty well.
