Ok after much consideration I rescind my last statement and would really like to get the metallic version. Is it worth having? I’ve heard of parts breaking and it worries me. Can anybody provide some input?

 

I transformed mine both directions, no breaks - but there's lots of bits with tight tolerances that _risk_ breakage or scratching, most can be adjusted/trimmed carefully.
@Lord Of Tetris described all the adjustments in this post, I agree with pretty much everything he says.

I'm pleased to own this set, but be prepared for some challenges.

 

Set could still use a straight reissue, maybe a G2 set.

Don't think it needs a black/dark version as Menasor has always already had a darker color scheme.

But TFM could do a Shattered Glass with recolor based on their impersonators from the episode "Masquerade".

 

I’ve heard mostly about wildrider’s wheel assembly snapping off. Do you think I could loosen it up by carefully working it back and forth? And I can sand down tabs and stuff, that’s not an issue assuming that’s what you were referring to

 

Yes, sanding tabs, minor trimming with a scalpel. Wildrider's wheels are another story. Mine have been fine - but they're flimsy! With care, I think they'll be fine.

 

The major thing with wild rider is the hinge that movies the wheel assembly on the front. The joint is thin enough already, but now its slathered in chrome paint.

Always liked the way this set looked, and I noticed the chrome set is pretty cheap right now. I don't wanna dig forever any chance someone has a pick of him next to the smaller MP scale combiners?

Meaning Jinbao Devy, JJ jet Commander, UT or MMC Bruticus, CW Devy, O/S warbo Bruticus. I realize this set is smaller but I'd like a sense of how it would looks with this scale.
