Mine's on it's way from Show-Z. I saw some comparisons upthread to HeatDeath, does anyone have any comparisons with PE MegaDoragon? Can these swords be held by PEMD?

Just ordered mine from Aliexpress. First time, hope all goes well. Until yesterday, I wasn't aware of this figure, and was eying the Iron Factory Heat Death. But that one was more than double the price, and smaller... So easy choice. Legend scale seamed a bit small anyway, en the larger Dragons way to big and way to expensive for me.

What's the correct (or, at least, designer-intended) way to arrange his back kibble?

It really seems like the dragon torso kibble (the pieces with the dragon arms) should be spread out like wings on Megatron's back, similarly to G1 Grimlock's T-Rex torso kibble:

    2021-07-04 18.20.19.jpg

However, you might notice that my thumb is holding up the kibble in place:
    2021-07-04 18.20.40.jpg

Nothing holds the torso kibble up there. No tabs, no detents, no ratchets, nothing. When I take my thumb away, the torso kibble droops down:

    2021-07-04 18.20.48.jpg

With no choice but to have the torso kibble droop down, you have large pieces of dragon torso just hanging off his back, and it doesn't look good at all. I kind of sort of arranged the dragon arms to point upwards, which looks, uh, okay, I guess:

    2021-07-04 18.19.04.jpg

Also, I rearranged the hip/butt kibble. I didn't like it hanging to the sides, because it was so big and it looked like a dress. I didn't like it as two distinct pieces on his butt, because it also looked too big, and like a dress.

I layered the two pieces of butt kibble on top of each other. Nothing tabs or connects them, but now I at least get the visual of just one piece of butt kibble, and I actually think it looks fairly passable as some skirt armor. Or some kind of bird-like tail?

Woah, just saw this. I always meant to get the IF set of Megs and Primal but something more important always came up.
Given I can get this for around AU$40, this is an easy buy.
It's... certainly interesting that he's still got that big swinging dragon-junk there, but I suppose if you've got it, flaunt it? :lol

I just really hope they do the matching Primal figure. I freakin' hate it when a company does a Megatron without his matching Optimus, or vice-versa.
These will look really cool next to the Perfect Effect Pair on my Opti-Megs shelf. May even put this into Beast mode for display!

So I just got mine in from ShowZ and, well, in robot mode at least it's a completely loose, impossible-to-support-itself mess, as I probably should have expected. Going to see if it holds together better in dragon mode at least.

Edit: So I remembered I have this Kiki's stuff and it seems to be working really well on these pinned hinge joints in the leg and the big ol' backpack rocker. Going to worry about figuring this out after a heavy dosage of it to, like, everything. And checking in on it already after only like 5-10 minutes of tightening knees, thigh hinges, waist, and backpack joints and my god it can actually stand on its own. That's far, far better.

Got him from Aliexpress, and was here in a week! (Holland).

My first experience with cheap Chinese KO. And it is what I expected. Not the best quality, some paint flaws, cheaper plastic. But still... he looks great! To bad his legs can't support him, but you can use the tail as a third leg, or the wings for support. Will have to play some more to check what poses he can pu off.

I'm not sure if I will transform him, seems complex and a bit fragile. But I'm happy with him, I think the IF is to expensive. And in the end, I will mostly display him in one pose. And he does look great, with the wings and all.

Mine was definitely too floppy to stand right out of the box. Using some of that kiki's stuff (or getting your joint tightening method of choice into those hinges and whatnot) will do wonders for stability. Specifically on mine the hips, the thigh hinges, the knee hinges, the waist, and the backpack hinge. Mine's held this pose for two days now just fine after doing that. Admittedly haven't tried transforming mine yet either. Nothing feels TOO fragile, just not in a hurry to I guess? Been a busy few days. Also included is a size comparison with the original IF mold.

Thanks, I need to look up some options for tightening. I don't know the Kiki stuff. Maybe some clear coat. Or nail polish?

My Flame Devil DF-07 (Dragon Megatron) just arrived.
Over all I like him and he looks nice in quadropedal and bipedal dragon modes.

But yep nothing tabs in and he's pretty loose - so will need to floor polish on his joints.

But I was impressed by the size and look of him. & I'll absolutely buy it in other colours if it's offered in other colours.

One super weird thing though is you can't actually transform his head properly without removing the face !!

    That is just plain weird.

My go-to is clear nail polish. The kiki's stuff is apparently just floor polish? I used it because I'd bought it and wanted to try it out. The second cap with a needle point nozzle made it easy to get it into various nooks and crannies and it's runny enough to seep into the pinned hinge joints easily. Either way, if you use your joint tightening method of choice it should get a lot more stable.

I've applied a single coat of Nail Polish he can already stand an pose much nicer - I think it will take 3 coats for him to be really solid though.

As I was looking at him I thought a nice use for the mould rather than Just Cryotech might be a version in the colours of Transformers Prime Predaking too.

Mine came in last night and I'm definitely underwhelmed. He looks cool on the desk, but I hate handling him. Looseness and kibblefest do not go together. Chest seems like it should lock in better than it does. Legs bow out really easy (transformation step) in bot mode. Really shitty designed elbows. List goes on. I probably should have done more homework on the original IF figure as the JB was my first real exposure to it. At least my expectations should have been more realistic :D

I'm sure he was designed this way by IF, but I gotta blame Jinbao for not at least giving him some ratchet knee/hip joints.

So just took him out of the box. First impressions? God he's bigger than I expected.

Plastic quality is decent. Not up to IF's original...but that is a good thing as its solid enough on the joints to hold but a tiny bit more flexible so I don't feel like the ball sockets will fucking explode.if I look at them funny.

Paint is nice, wings are very lovely and add presence, swords are a little tricky to get out but do-able. But you can see where they saved money with them. Instead of moulding both the right and left wings they've only done one. How can I tell? No matter which one you put on the left side.it will have the screws facing forward. They're designed to incorporate that so not really an issue and you can see in the promo pics that has forward facing screws too so not just my copy.

Biggest issue so far? Knee joints are loose as fuck, so is the dragon head ball joint. Im fixing the latter with floor polish over night and I'll need to dissassemble the legs to aply the same to the knee joints.

Is this better than IF? Unsure. Its bigger and has looser joints but is also half the price. Needs a few tweaks but think it just slightly edges ahead.

    Same observations and opinion.
Don't like so much the two colors' face, nor the alternative psycho smiling.

So if you're undecided on which to get get JinBao's Flame Devil over IF Heat Death. Yes you need to tighten some joints but getting him to Dragon mode is a LOT easier and the plastic doesn't feel like it's gonna break plus just LOOK AT THAT DRAGON MODE. And it's half the damn price.

A couple more comments on this release.
The swords can be a little hard to get out of the wings, they can get stuck. & the handles are so fragile feeling I don't think I'd want to use them anyway - so they can stay in the wings.

He has additional hands - for robot mode - some more alternative dragon forepaws might have been nice to have too.

Anyway the main reason I am posting was I transformed him based on a chinese Video rather than trying to make sense of the Instructions, and so I only just realised that his legs have a complex system of joints in them meaning that they can collapse down (a bit like Optimal Optimus) and so you can have much shorter legs in dragon mode - it makes him look quite different I feel & also thickens up his beast mode hips too making them look more like a dog's hip and less like human hips - which I like.

He's had two coats of Floor polish now -the only parts that look like they need another coat is the wing hinges and the tail root area, When I am happy with that I will transform him back to robot mode and see if I can do anything about the pivot point for the wing root in robot mode.

I still think it's a tad silly you have to take his robot face off to put him in dragon mode properly though.
