I've considered GX-51 as well but I figure it will get an update that I'm willing to wait for.

    Ebay:
They took longer than the last time, but you were right
Getter Robo Arc Soul of Chogokin GX-99 Getter Arc (bigbadtoystore.com)

Though for me AJ is still the better price atm.

Well that’s a relief. I was going to be a bit bummed if they weren’t going to bring it over more so if it ended up setting a precedent for the D2.

Going back to the D2 for a bit, I was very excited but after seeing it now I am let down. I was really hoping they were going to renew the GX-51 body with this release and in doing so they would renew GX-51 and release it alongside their Shin Getter 1 but that probably won’t end up being the case.
And on top of all that, GX-51 was roughly 80 USD and they want to charge nearly double the price for modified armor pieces and a different set of accessories? Whack:confused: !! That being said, I’m still going to buy it since it’ll be the closest thing to a Getter Dragon toy that I’ll have until they decide to reissue/renew GX-51:( .

I was thinking all this but decided to just keep waiting. I don't do placeholders and feel like that's what this D2 would be for my collection. If I did get some more other Getter designs, I was thinking of trying another brand like King Arts or ThreeZero.

Can anyone help me out on this one? Ive seen a Tetsujin28 GX-24SP listed on ebay , but Ive never seen a picture of the actual box. They just have a stock photo. Whats the diff between "24SP" and 24R?

Does that version really exist or is it just a mistake by the seller? I've got the FOMO and I must know! ;) :D

the only ones I know that exist are
    • GX-24 (original release)
    • GX-24M (metallic blue ver.)
    • GX-24N (naked color ver.)
    • GX-24R (the renewal)
Never heard of an GX-24SP unless you’re referring to GX-44S?

So it looks like there was another release of the GX-24 with a black and white box and DVD with a letter for the winner of some contest? At first I just thought the photos were in black and white but it actually was the box!:D

Manda describes it as the "special color version" but that looks nothing like the "GX-24SP" they have on amazon:
    https://www.amazon.com/Tamashii-Nat...=1&keywords=tetsujin+28&qid=1625837659&sr=8-2

Thats so weird. I cant even tell what the point of this "Special Color" version is, as the box is in black and white, and most of the insides are black and white but then they color the robots chest and waist stripes, kind of defeating the purpose of the whole black and white deco idea it looks like they were going for? Can anyone read the Japanese on the box for more info?

Oh it just seems to be a dvd box set figure and on top of that it doesn’t seem to be using the renewal body judging by the packaging. Unless you’re aiming to get all the SoC’s of this character, you’re better off with the renewal.

Edit: Also found more info about it here. Up to you as to whether or not you want to make the purchase.

I was so tempted by this set till I saw the red and green. Bandai really should do a proper black and white set.

Thanks so much for the info!
I mainly just wondered if there was a SP version out there I hadnt seen but it looks like just a mistake by the sellers. The sold out DVD version is over 125,000 yen on Mandarake so theres no worry about me getting one! :D

Yeah thats weird right? Everything else on the set seems to be for a black and white theme but then they slap those colors on his waist and chest. I wonder why they did that. Id definitely buy a completely B&W robot version!

Preordered Getter Robo Arc so I am hoping against hope that they will make the other two Getters from Arc. Although if I had to choose I would wish for Sentinel to make Devolution Getter 2 and 3. It will always chap my ass that I don’t have those two to go with Devo Getter 1.

And nice as it is...I really have no connection to this guy so dropping half of my mortgage payment on this is dubious at best.
