Here's a new find by Avon Fox from Facebook: Facebook Groups Oh yeah, this awesome artwork of Cy... Bike Robo battling Gildis! It also reinforces that 'Casomdon' are depicted as a race vs. the name of an individual with more than one of them in the same image. - Avon Fox This scene reminds me so much of Tekkaman Blade whenever Blade fights the Radam or even his own kin on a space station. So awesome.
I'm at where I might be listing my stuff as well. I've been slowly pruning my stuff, and eventually they'll go up also.
It not that I'm getting out so so speak, its more about putting the money from Blue Jet somewhere else. I haven't even shipped it from BBTS yet, and its still within the 30 days that I could return it. I just find myself less and less thrilled about the prospect of even getting it.
Lack of space mainly, these guys are all still boxed and set aside right now. I have a lot of Transformers still sealed and in storage as well, and it's starting to make less sense to me to keep them.
I can’t blame you. I’ve been putting some extra stuff in a couple “to be sold” bins as well. And, I’ve finally gotten around to opening some sealed stuff that’s been sitting in the basement for the past 2 or 3 years that I want to keep. I’ve kept the packaging for most of the stuff I’ve bought over the years and some of the packaging is now starting to get tossed…that shit takes up a ton of space. Part of the reason I kept so much of it is because the sheer volume of it helped me curb my purchasing rate a bit over the years.
well any of you guys thinking about selling have a rod drill you're letting go of for retail shoot me a PM i'm lookin to buy
I've started to toss TR and Siege packaging, realizing the same thing. I think I'll keep the packaging to 'rare' stuff what not. I'm not in the same boat in the sense that I have stuff un-opened from years ago, but to get back to why I was thinking about not keeping Blue Jet (changed my mine, though - I noticed BBTS is starting to run low-ish), I have a $250 1/6 scale fig, and a few 1/18 scale figs just sitting there, in the packaging. I'm starting to realize that I get stuff, open it and go 'Oh! Neat!' and then put it on a shelf and forget about it after a week. I dunno. Maybe I just need a break from collecting in general, or at least a slow down. Snap! That is SEXY!
I've been cutting back and setting limits for myself for a while now. I'm into so many different things that I can't swing getting too deep into most of them. There are probably only 5 or 6 of these MR bots I really want, for example, and I'm limiting myself to the handful of characters I had as a kid...plus a couple more I never got. Shit piles up quick, and like you said, it goes up on a shelf and sits there. You really gotta keep the addiction on a leash!
At risk of being contradictory (because I agree with you about the self control part), I do have to say it is cool to look over at a shelf and just see it PACKED with what ever part of your collection you have there.
Same here...always makes me smile...and then I look at the pile of shit I have sitting on the couch next to the shelves because there's no room left on the shelves...still makes me smile, but makes me feel like a bit of a dumbass too, lol...
Hopefully there will be better pics soon to see if there will be any new Machine Robo figures Action Toys Rodimus and Galvatron
