They've done 2nd or 3rd rounds of PO in the US so it might not be possible there's any left. If you're willing to PO overseas (not Japan), I can direct you to one.

    HELP / QUESTION guys.

My SHF KR BLACK v2 took a hard fall. And the silver paint coating on his antenna got scrubbed off.
    So I have 2 options:

1.) Repaint it. But I wonder if Gundam Marker Silver will do the trick and not damage the plastic. If Gundam Marker can fix it, can I apply it on top directly? and which type of Silver from Gundam Markers is suited to the job? What is the proper way to repaint it via a Gundam marker?

If someone will say Air Brushing, well I don't have much budget to invest on it yet. It's kinda expensive just to repaint a small part of the figure.

2.) Buy another Black v2. Yeah, weird considering there's a Black v3 (which I will buy eventually). But I want to save Black v2 as "insurance policy" since the news broke out that Black v3's rubber sleeves on shoulder is prone to easy crack and wear and tear. And it's not play friendly like Black v2.

I hope you can help out guys. Thanks In Advance.

Your options aren't mutually exclusive; you can try to restore the paint, then if that doesn't work buy a replacement.

For the restoration, I reccommend using a high-grain sanding stick to smooth out any damage to the paint, then hand brushing slightly watered down silver paint. The trick here is lots of thin layers to create a smooth and seamless application.
Don't forget to apply a finish after the paint cures to seal the restored area. You'll probably want to use a satin finish to have a bit of shine but not too much. A matte finish would look too flat.

I'd think this was a lock for domestic release. They have a major tie in with Marvel comics and even their EIC, the venerable (and totally Japanese sounding) Akira Yoshida made a video for it.

Tbh @Legate method is the proper way to do it but be careful not to use “strong” paints such as lacquer type, use acrylic type.

If the paint chip is very minor, a gundam marker can work. The trick is:

    i. Finding a matching tone
ii. Don’t apply it directly from the marker, instead dab the paint out on a platter, then use a small, fine brush to dab on to the affected part.

After that, you let the paint “cure” or dry. My experience with Gundam marker is that it dries at a very, very slow rate…like 5 to 7 days. The longer you wait…the better.

Thanks for filling me in @DukeFett and I didn't see that. ;)

Now the question is: This version or the 1/6th. :p

Hmm, the fact that the white suit is not simply a repaint of the black one makes it more tempting but it is also a web exclusive which sort of cancels that out. lol.

Wow.. thank you very much... Now I'm thinking which Gundam Marker is nearest to the silver tone of Black v2's antenna.
GM05? or XGM02? or is there any better than the two?

But for sure XGM100 is not a matching color right?

My 2nd option is to buy another Black v2 (kinda hurts my wallet though, pre-owned is ok)

Sorry, I no longer collect the Kamen Riders so I wouldn't know but if the markers are affordable, I suggest you buy two of the closest colours.

Huh good they are doing a second run of them just like last year. Might not feel the need to rush and get at the in stock supply the first day then...
