Yeah but then either way I’d have to track down his Legends Targetmaster too

I thought you wanted a Blurr which was targetmaster-compatible, not Blurr's targetmaster. This seems to be a new problem, which can be solved on ebay for $70.

I specifically said “Targetmaster-compatible”, which should’ve indicated that I was eventually going to be wanting his Targetmaster at one point too

For a very long time I avoided picking this guy up (because "partsforming", though when I saw that he was able to transform from combined ship mode to robot mode without disconnecting anything that excuse went out the window) but I'm glad I finally did it. He is fantastic. Lots of fun.
    upload_2021-7-4_1-10-5.png

What's the deal with the fins on his legs? I've seen these assembled facing forwards and facing backwards (downwards or upwards in robot mode). The box art shows them facing forwards (downwards), exactly as he came delivered.

those small wings can be easily swapped, some TFans do that for some reason.

I see, I suppose some people are against forward swept wings.

Love your collection btw. Your photos have actually helped me to decide between repaints, especially now that I'm exploring UT a lot more.

Thanks, it's only a small remnant of my once great Unicron Trilogy collection, the few figures I couldn't part with. Megalo Convoy is definitely my favourite, especially as he came with the metallic finish legends optimus.

Armada Sideways was my favourite character from the animation

There was a point I had all the main releases of both the hasbro and takara variants of the Unicron Trilogy figures misb. Back when Takara versions were substantively different in paint applications too. It's a collection I have regretted selling but at the same time would never have had space to keep.

After I saw a facebook seller putting up an Armada Jetfire I realized.. I miss Energon. I really miss the two part combiners! Yes, at the time they were clunky.. and boxy, but it was easily my favorite gimmick of the UT! The stuff in that new Cyberverse line just doesn't cover it the same. I would dearly love to see a modern take on the Energon pants and shirt combiner gimmick with Earthrise level tech! If they took it seriously I can't imagine it wouldn't be equally as fun.

Continuing the theme of things I never expected to get...in my early days of collecting I pretty much swore that I would never get this guy. I still think he's aesthetically challenged, but I've developed a thing for super modes.

    So here's Grand Convoy:
    upload_2021-7-7_14-56-21.png

It is possible for Grand to look decent from certain angles
    upload_2021-7-7_14-57-8.png

Transforming his limbs is much more fun than I expected. Looks aside, I really like the UT chunky solid feel
    upload_2021-7-7_14-58-24.png

And of course, the real reason to get this guy:
    upload_2021-7-7_14-59-20.png
    upload_2021-7-7_15-5-0.png

He looks magnificent but getting him to stand can be difficult. I think his arm and hip joints need to be 25-40% larger to properly deal with the weight. All in all a satisfying toy to mess around with.

Fun fact: the Fire Convoy I bought had unexpected surgery.

This combination is one I never found many pictures of.
