Okay. As long as you’re aware that I was making a weird, self-effacing joke with the “casting aspersions” thing.

I don’t have a horse in the rest of it. I don’t make certain jokes anymore because I think that they’re tired, lazy and attract the wrong audiences, but I did when I was a kid and didn’t think about that kind of stuff. And I’d be willing to bet my left ball that trying to handle it in any way on a Transformers message board other than outright dismissal or scorning/comedy probably isn’t going to make a lasting impression anyhow.

 

Official mp Soundwave is still amazing and not at all a compromise imo. I will likely sell him off with his buddies at some point to help with this insane cost. That helps me justify me spending on it lol.

 

I was gonna say, that bodes well for the availability of this one. Logic would dictate they'd make a ton of it, since, you know, it's freakin' Soundwave. They haven't released a mainline character this popular since Grimlock

 

I guess you’re just hedging your bets? Better off getting it from A3U or Kool Toys if you’re able to. A3U for their points though…

 

They probably end up making a ton of others too and just make stock trickle through lol. Retailers have so much to gain from doing that, I bet it easily is worth the prolonged reserved shelf space costs.

A3U which is PST sent an email at 1 am to say Tesla preorders go up at 10 am on a Sunday morning. Ffs, I'm not up that early on Sundays lol.

That's a great point. I love the MMC Ravage but never got around to picking up their Frumble pair. Migt be time to look into them again.
I do quite like FT's Laserbeak though, and MMC's Laserbeak just looks wonky being so big...

 

Hey, if FansToys haters could read this would really upset them

 

Overall I like the design, but for constructive criticism.

- Darken the blue a shade or 2.

- The gold around the tape door should match the yellow on the knees.

- The tape door needs to be less transparent, or some kind of phaux tape needs to be included so his chest doesn’t look so empty if you have all the tapes out on display.

- knees are strange and ugly.

- rumble and frenzy appear to have very strange elbow joints.

 

Man, there's always another curveball being thrown at our heads with this hobby.

On the bright side...no metallic silver, yay! Beautiful white and blue Soundwave, as he should be. That alone guarantees I'll plunk down the cash.
