I finally finished Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka. The ending was good. 2 words carried this series for me, Yuuki Aoi. I do not think I would have enjoyed it at all without her.

 

Cowboy Bebop, for the mumblemumbleth time, because I am boring and predictable and it's fantastic. Thinking about going for the English dub of Tiger and Bunny because I watched it subbed but haven't caught more than a couple episodes of the dub.

 

The dub to Tiger & Bunny is fantastic. It's great in both languages, but I really feel you get more out of it in English.

 

I'm trying to like Godzilla singular point but...

 

Shadows House was fine, but it would really need another season to do something with the plot points it set up (which I guess isn’t likely since the last 3 eps are apparently anime-original).


The atmosphere and mystery is pretty cool, but it’s lacking the payoff where it sits currently.


Kickass ED theme though. Gonna be listening to that one for awhile.

 

Five volumes into Demon Slayer and while I am enjoying it, I can't exactly say it is the greatest thing ever made like I've seen several people say. I like the concepts involved with Tanjiro and his sister, and the main villain who looks like Michael Jackson from Smooth Criminal seems awesome, but nothing has WOWed me yet. I would like to see the moving house stuff in animated form though, as I bet that looks pretty damn cool, so I'll definitely check the anime out at some point.

I'm also not a fan of Zenitsu. He seems like every whiny manga/anime character combined into one.

I watched the 1st episode of How a realist rebuilt the Kingdom. It was actually pretty good. It was a breath of fresh air after the other crap I watched.

 

I'm about halfway through Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Pretty good so far.

Although I kind of feel that for a show about a long-haul, no-resupply journey that the (so far) almost complete lack of mention of resource management is somewhat distracting to me. I mean, reasonably speaking it would probably end up that focusing too much on it would be a distraction from the characters and story, but it's still kind of bothering me.

 

Uramachi-Oniisan is hilarious in the I can relate too much with it and I'm laughing on the outside just like the characters. Utano-Oneesan; Nana's character is like the bad timeline version of herself & it's hilarious
the series reminds me of Nozaki-Kun

The Detective is Already Dead - Got me hooked, even moreso after reading the synopsis. I really want to see how this plays out, so I'm restraining myself from reading ahead.

The Realist Hero - True to the manga version so far, can't wait to see the rest of his crew come together.

Getter Robo Arc - Giant robo! I'm lost otherwise...kinda gives me the feeling I should watch the previous series/movie

Kanojo mo Kanojo - loving the manga, so I'm enjoying this, looking forward to Saki punches

Seirei Gensouki - true to the source, not sure how many episodes it'll get, but it should be a solid 6 or 7 at least. I really just hope they don't drag things out as much as the manga has...I think 4 chapters could probably fit in 7mins.

The Honor student at Magic High - I'm not sure how much I can stomach, hoping the brocon isn't a huge focal point as I like the other characters besides Miyuki better anyways.

 

Honest trailers strikes again! Spoils the full movie of course.

 

I recently watched Short Peace, which was quite enjoyable. The final of the four short films was the weakest for me story wise but great visuals.

 

Finally Kobayashi and Tohru are back. Nice to see a kyoani show again.

 

Felt like I've been waiting forever for Tsukimichi to start , now I have to wait for his big fight.

1. I forgot that season even existed.
2. Why is it taking them so damn long to release the second half?
3. Cutting it down from 13 boring ass episodes to a 2 hour boring ass movie is probably for the best. Who knows, maybe it won't actually suck so much.
4. They need to just go back to real animation and not the CGI bullshit.
