Just got this guy in hand myself. He’s the real deal. Lots of neat paint apps as a good representation in all modes.

His ball joints are wonky though. Nothing too bad but there’s things tighter than I’d expect and things looser. So there’s some tooling and QC issues to watch for.

I Got my Core class Soundwave in today. the issue mine has is the weapon storage on the right leg is too small to fit the shoulder weapon. Anyone else have that issue?

My shoulder weapon is a tight fit on the leg and shoulder. Both peg holes are hexagonal while the peg on the shoulder is round. I’m thinking as I use it they will sort out.

Really wish this guy had fold out feet on ankle rockers.

Also wish he was 50% larger...

Fun little robot mode, but the alt mode arms really don’t peg in worth a damn.

Got mine today from HTS on eBay.
Overall, he looks phenomenal. I do have an issue where some of the joints are either too tight or too weak. Kind if an easy fix, but still, it could have been better.

Went to a few stores today and couldn't find this guy. (My area is terrible when it comes to finding figures.) I decided that as much gas as I'm spending running around, may as well get him on BBTS. Can't wait until they send him.

I have Soundwave and the new Figuarts Gohan standing side by side under my monitor and its been very interesting to see how two very different toys handle being basically the same size but with 50 dollars difference in pricepoint.

I like Soundwave but he feels like he needed ten more seconds in the toy oven. Ironic, because I think he got left on my Arizona doorstep so badly that the glue in one of his shins dried out and now one of the facings on his legs just comes off whenever it wants to. His arms and knees specifically are a special kind of loose that I can only characterize as, they do the same motion you'd make when kicking off for a swing. They're contained and they pose, but between locked and posed they feel slidy loose.

He does the Soundwave stuff, he folds the way you'd expect one to, he bends where he should. He's got deceptively good articulation that mostly achieves what it needs to, though I would kill for a waist swivel. The feet feel like the other feet in the Core class in that they feel like the old A-Stance feet we got a lot of before ankle, which don't bother me and if I had to pick between Chest/Laserbeak or ankles, I'd go the former.

    CORE CLASS STACK RANK
    Vertebreak
    Starscream
    Rattrap
    Megatron
    Soundwave
    Optimus Prime

My Soundwave's left leg had that same panel problem. A little super glue and now it is locked in.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Most of my joints like elbows and knees are a little loose while I have to two hand the figure to rotate his shoulder

Overall he's great. Tho I've also noticed two scratches/cracks near the pin on the chest deck.

I am absolutely in love with this figure. These core class pieces are so good!

Simultaneously glad I held onto Combiner Wars Shockwave and hoping they update him (not sure how that'd go given his alternate mode).

I really like this guy. None of the joints or connections are giving me any issue. I wish the feet could fold and hide away better, and Laserbeak can't really do anything (totally understandable, but still a bit of a shame).
Main thing, though... now I kinda want Starscream and Megatron. :lol
