the shoulders & skirt pieces are accurate even tho the skirt was black in the film

That “skirt” is a piece of jet fire... he has some black panels on his legs, but they don’t make anything near a skirt.

Jolt looks alright, though his robot mode head definitely needs more blue. It looks almost unpainted

If anything this just kind of goes to prove just how junky Bayverse Transformers can look. It's why I did designs like in AoE and TLK. Clean designs and we know exactly what we're looking at.

It's a miracle at all that we can get good looking Movie toys in Studio Series given that in 2007 to DOTM the robots tended to look like humanoid shaped piles of car junk.

Ironically the AOE toys were some of the most clunky and junky toys.

I like him. Not entirely accurate, but as I've said before, the dude is practically non-existent in the movie, so he can have a pass. A cool robot's a cool robot. I even think the backpack is fairly well handled and blends in with the rest of his kibble.
He could use some ankle tilts, though...

Like I said, black panels running along his leg. not a massive skirt hanging off.

I don't mind the kibble one bit. He always looked rather jumbled and chaotic and I like the way this figure shows that. It almost looks like he's exploding out of his car form.

I wonder how well his whips will hold up. They look awfully soft.

I was hoping the robot mode and whips would have looked better on Jolt. This figure is kind of a let down, but better than what we had before so I'll get it.

I think a third party upgrade kit could help Jolt look good. I'll be on the lookout for an upgrade.

Well, I did say unstylized. It looks much more stylish and well integrated in the CGI model. That's part of why I like the concept, but not the execution. It's accurate to the CGI transformation and tries to do more than just throw the entire car onto the back. The problem is, with so little of the vehicle being integrated into the robot, all the vehicle parts end up being oversized, since almost the entire car is hanging off him and it still manages to have a giant backpack.
