Wow, I thought this was going to be a super-boring redeco but this actually looks pretty schnazzy. Will pick up, and my mom's a scrapbooker so I'll just borrow her sticker tool to apply those pretty accurately.

 

Crap. I hope someone figures out the best paint to fix that problem after he’s out…

Nope we're both wrong they were Yellow with a Light Up gimmick.

 

So, for unpaintable plastic, does primer stick to it?

 

I can’t even find the purple version.

 

I remember reading that it's only unpaintable using the type of paints that toy manufacturers use, and consumer grade stuff like acrylic and others should work just fine.

hmm, the more i look at this the more i like it. It's a shame about the crown and the lack of red on the waist but otherwise its pretty good. Think I will end up getting this

 

Hell yeah. This cuts right to the core of what I love so much about Transformers. I’m honestly astonished they’re revisiting so much of that ambience.

 

Yep, I miss the silly aesthetic of robots with large panels featuring colorful glowing lights and the chrome look of the stickers.

 

I never had the vintage toy when I was a kid, so my nostalgia lies with the cartoon colors. That said, I'm truly happy for vintage toy color fans. Options are great. I'm glad that both cartoon and vintage toy fans get their preferred Galvatron.

 

The eyes looked black because they were empty triangular holes.

Inside Galvatron's head there was a transparent orange (the same orange plastic as his cannon) peg with a colourless LED inside it. This was the same LED that would light up Galvatron's cannon in alt mode.

Pressing his belt buckle, or pulling the trigger on his back would illuminate his eyes (and the entire inside of his crown) yellow/orange.

Galvatron was my favourite G1 Transformers toy. I know that figure inside and out.

This is the last known selects for this year right? Or was there a mystery deluxe selects with a code name. Can't quite remember.

 

This is a customizer's dream. No stickers, a little paint, Marvel US Galvatron. I'm not willing to pull the trigger yet, but if it goes on sale sub $40, I'll take a whack at it.

 

I guess I’m not the only one who wanted a dark grey face with yellow eyes.

 

Yes, this seems to be the last one. My guess is that Hasbro allocated 5 of those slots for the Shattered Glass Collection, which would explain why there’s so few Selects toys this year.
