The problem with me reading this thread is that everybody showing off their figure's imperfections makes me nervous.
Managing expectations about my figure having any flaws takes a part of the fun out.
And I'll only get Skywarp. So many months being scared of getting a lemon!

I can sleep at night, no worries.

The only imperfection here is that I'm not going to be able to put him down. He's freaking awesome. Came two days early too!

    Ebay:
Does the megatron gun plug in flush? Because mine won't plug into the hand fully and I don't want to force it. Right now it will sit snug and then pop out when I go to pose him.
    I have it extended correctly.

I also have the same issue with the thick gray wing tabs not fitting fully into its slot. Maybe a light sanding?

I struggled to get it into his left hand so I switched to his right hand and it was a little easier. Still not an easy tab and go though.

I recall someone talking about possible batch numbers to see maybe if there is a bad batch so here is the info I have from my box .
    IMG_1255.jpg

There is a stamp of "D2021" on the box that Stamped pretty deep. (does it mean year 2021? or number 2021?)

This item is from Amazon.jp by Amazon

    Box was in excellent shape
    Did a quick open inspection
Seem to have all the faces.
null ray is the correct left and right
    no crack on canopy
no crack on the right vertical stabilizer turning area
no missing pins from the horizontal stabilizers
    red intake is molded correctly
folding wing joints seems to be the correct left and right ones
no noticeable cracks on the Ankles next to the thrusters

Looks like a perfect copy except for the blue left feet which is kinda loose. (the loose part seems to the the connecting area of blue to gray,, and not the gray to gray where most of the cracks are located)

This looks to be as good as it gets for me. :)

The box was manufactured on April 20, 2021. The letter is the month. A is January, B is February etc.

I’m positive every box made will have that exact same date, but there’s another stamp on your toy. I won’t have mine for a few more hours but find the date on the toy.

this early in the release all bots were made on one day as well. Maybe a few days? But it’s all one batch. In a year or two you’ll see a possible reissue with a noticeable different stamp and a different QC dice roll.

Tangential but I just realized, even the real war(workhorse) that is the F15 Eagle 2/EX etc is still going strong!(Licensed officially by Boeing so eat your heart out Porsche!) Just like the B-52. Those designs really stand the test of time!

Yes that will work but for some it will require more than one coat. But yours has a pretty massive gap between the ankle and the leg cylinder which is most likely helping the future get in there. Mine has no gap at all and is completely flush. So it’s really difficult to get the liquid inside. It just wants to sit on top of the gap.

I’m also starting to wonder if Kiki is actually not quite as good as Future. I used to use Future but then I found out about Kiki which is a product specifically made for tightening action figure joints. Maybe the Kiki is having a harder time getting into the gap.

Anyway that’s good that yours is improved and hopefully others will get the same result eventually!

    Future ALWAYS.

The sheer nature of it being like water will always work when it comes to tiny cracks and crevices. No question.

    Thank you for the pictures.

    Two questions:
    - Did you pull the foot slightly out? I don't have the gap on mine that your first two pictures point to.
    - Would adding Future where shown in the third picture be effective? When I look in there, it's just a hole and the pin only starts about half way in

It’s not the USA delivery people who package the shipments. I order tons of stuff from China on eBay… almost everything gets shipped in newspaper wrapped in duct tape with a label on the top. Sometimes I’ll get a thin piece of cardboard mixed in on larger, heavier pieces.

Welp, assembly issues should be addressed by the time Thundercracker and Skywarp are released, hopefully.

I'd imagine everyone has to have some sort of line, where the two pieces meet, I guess mine does appear to be more gappish? Either way, touching that spot with Future, the Future will still find the "opening."

And for sure, get some into that second spot, it'll get down into it.

    Finally got mine in today.

Right tailfin housing cracked on first transformation like so many others. Still a bummer.

Now to finish the rest of this...

Haven't been keeping up with the thread for a couple days since it moves to quickly lol. Any other new developments to look out for?

Yep, but see how you have that's wide gape between the two cylinders, between the lines:
    JFxGkUdh.jpg

That's actually not present on most copies, and in fact that gap is actually helpful for getting the joint tightener in there. Since you're able to get the liquid into where the friction actually needs to be.

On most copies, those cylinders are right up against each either, not letting the liquid in. In those cases they'll still get some results, but not as good as you're seeing. On the other hand, simply pushing that rivet together to close that gap might also tighten it up.

However, all that said, the real reason it's not helping most, is because the one cylinder is cracked. Yours both look fine, which is why the future is working good for you. My right ankle was not cracked, and like you, I was able to tighten it up some by just applying some Kiki's directly to the joint as you did.

    For sure.

I'm just going back now and re reading all the posts about this, I came across your previous ones too.

    I get it now.

As for pushing it together to close that gap, I'll just leave it be. I have absolutely zero issues with the feet , I dont wanna fuss around with it and risk anything.

    That's for the input dude!

Haha, yeah, if it's fine, I wouldn't bother either. Mostly just saying if you hadn't used Future that could have been an alternate solution.

It's pretty fresh up to this point release-wise, but anyone who has a knack for 3D printing and a bit of engineering/design background up for making a flight adaptor (and extension) that can make him look like he's actually flying (like superman)? As much as I like the current flight stand adaptor that's included, it doesn't hold him well for superman types of flying (like what some of the early prototype photos were showing) since the actual piece on his back doesn't plug in to the cockpit piece to secure it unfortunately. I'm thinking something to plug into his crotch area potentially or integration with his backpack somehow...[IMG]

Check the posts the feet/ankles are connected to for cracks
