I dig the design, the stickers though, jesus didn’t realize how many there is, he’s a buy for me! Maybe even my main galvatron, but idfk man hasbro needs to chill with these stickers

 

I wasn't buying purple to wait for this guy.

 

Stickers are definitely antiquated. They existed back in those days to give the illusion of details since toys didn't have as much sculpted detail as they did back then. Now, they do and those types of stickers are 110% completely unnecessary. They're tacky and have no place on modern toys.

 

I'm happy with stickers in this instance because there are certain sticker details on the toy that the Marvel design didn't have. I was nervous we were gonna have the red on the top of the torso painted on and it not look right. Very happy to have the option to not bother with the stickers.

 

The big issue is that the red on the chest, which is a pretty notable color spot for the design, is stickers.

All the toy deco details being stickers, whatever, I wasn't expecting those in the first place. But when such a noteworthy part of the deco is only there if you apply the stickers, that's just not alright to me.

There's also the bigger issue of this just being a dumb attempt to try and homage a much maligned aspect of the old toys. People like modern toy deco cause they're not stickers, especially ones we have to put on ourselves or miss out on detail. Why bring that back for a modern toy? I get it for reissues of the old toys, but not when every other toy in the line doesn't have them.

I want to try and be positive of this figure, but eh. I had low standards as it is for this, yet they still managed to Limbo under them.

 

God, those stickers are ugly. Glad they're not pre-applied. I'd like to see what he looks like without them.

 

Folks that hate the stickers need to bomb them in chat during the reveal, if only to get them to second guess themselves the next time they get the idea to use stickers on something.  

 

I mever liked his toy colors. I preferred his movie, tv series colors.

 

Even if they weren't most people should have enough sense to realize stickers peel off if unwanted.

Edit: he does need a darker face though.
Black eyes would he kinda cool too.

Having just read Target 2006 with my 5yo son I am *so in* with this guy.

 

Looks good. Glad stickers are optional. Only thing that could make this better would be the corny G1 toy head.

wonder if they’ll triple-dip for a marvel colored version. I know it’s close but there’s some differences like the “blue” vs Gray

 

I think I'm going with purple!

 

Praise Primus, that is way too busy for me otherwise. Neat that he has a Marvel Comics Lime flavour Matrix - now we just need a Modern Thunderwing!!!

Looks like it may also be that the guns are on the same sprues as the feet/toes, which is why Kingdom Galvy's Revenges are grey possibly?

 

I'm not tryna be negative but this is hideous. I think I'll just get the regular Kingdom release one. Cheers to whoever likes this though

 

I've held off on getting the Kingdom figure because I was interested to see what a GS figure in the G1 toy colors would look like. This isn't what I was expecting. I can't explain it, but it just doesn't look like the colors and the figure go together.

 

This isn’t so bad. Plus, his Matrix of Leadership is colored green to replicate the Creation Matrix from the G1 Marvel comics, so that pretty much makes him Galvatron II, right?  

 

Looks good. I am glad the stickers are optional. I do think it'd be nice if he also came with a set of filigree stickers like e-Hobby Galvatron II. I tend to prefer the G1 toy deco.

 

After seeing this and the Jurassic Park pack, I\'m worried hasbro might be going back to using ball joints and stickers on a lot of their figures. Maybe I\'m overreacting, but I really hope these are isolated incidents and don\'t indicate what we are getting in the future. 

 

Am I seeing things or at the abs also a sticker?
