i hope you can keep the sculpt details as good in the smaller legend size. i especially hope you can make the car alt as good as the original sculpts you had done. good luck!  

 

Competing with Magic Square seems like a tall order. Will be watching.

 

This is quite different from how the project was originally presented (and listed on ShowZ). I had been looking forward to getting an alternative Dragstrip at MP scale, so I didn't need to transform my XTB version, and Creep looked like a perfect fit. Unfortunately I have no interest in the new scale.

I do hope it works out for you, though.

 

We’d love a new legends company, but making another Menasor after MS already did and with NA’s on the way seems like a bad choice. Couldn’t you do something they’re not? I think you could get a foothold in the legends market if you did something different.

Like I said, we’d all love a new legends company that’s focusing on different characters than what MS and NA are doing.

 

It would be easier IMO to complement the mainline. No 3Ps are really producing anything at that scale, while like you say this team at Legends scale will be going up against the two heavy weights in the game.

Likely after both of them have fully released. I definitely hope Rising Force does well, but this seems like a VERY bad business decision.

 

Nah, I’d much prefer legends since I don’t collect mainline. Also going for the mainline is more likely to draw HasTak’s ire.

Edit: also a lot of people are sick of NA and MS making the same characters, so there’s definitely an opening if they did something different.

 

But they aren't doing something different.

 

Legends+ scale might work, seeing as how MS & NA Menasors are both Legends.

At the moment, no one is doing Legends+ Menasor. MFT has barely teased one, and no one has tried to upsize MS's version.

So if Rising Force can release one before that, it might work. I'm sure there are people that want their Stunticons to scale with their MFT bots.

I was so waiting for this when it was announced at 45cm because there is no Menasor of that size to complement UT Bruticus and CW Devastator. It's too bad the scale changed, for me at least

This is the wisest choice to do at the moment!

 

Competing in the normal Legends size will be hard seeing what people invested now in to a solid G1 and Toy looking Menasor from Magic Square, people are double dipping in to them.
They will be hard pressed of going in to another legends Menasor unless it is far superior or cheaper.
Smartest move as others said will be the Legends + size, if you can be the first in that class, you will have more sales.

 

I passed on MS Stunticons because for me, carbots need to have beautiful realistic car modes, and MS does pastel boxy things with mediocre paint that match the toon (they're great for bot articulation etc, not dissing them, I own quite a few of their releases), but look sad compared to NA cars.

So if another company gave me good looking cars at Legend scale, I''d be all over them, just like I'm in on Zeta's Aerialbots, who have great looking alt modes. Let's be honest, Stunticons, Aerialbots, and to a lesser degree, Protectobots, all have fairly boring bot modes, it's not where the excitement is (unlike, say, the Predacons + Constructicons, which are all iconic in their bot proportions and aesthetics.)

Unfortunately, if this has indeed changed to Legends scale I'm out. That's very disappointing because I really liked what Rising Force was doing and while there have been other MP Stunticons I still think this would have filled a niche. If this comes out in the originally promised MP scale I'll be in, but otherwise this is a no from me.

 

Yeah, I'm all about supporting new, up and coming companies, but I'm not collecting legends scale and have no intention of doing so.

I'm not sure how well this will play out for you with the stiff competition, but good luck.
