This stuff is dope. Glad Hasbro has a real collaboration going on that appeals to the majority. The musical collabs are so poorly executed, how about an artist that works on stuff TF related like Weird Al or Stan Bush? Glad they are going something with a talented person for a change rather than a society prop. Hope that white shirt gets released in another color, preferably green with blue like my Hot Topic's TF the movie shirt I had back in 2001. I'll never wear white as my skin is too dark and it bleeds through. Also hope someone other than Zavvi carries these as they have zero credibility on this side of the Atlantic.
BTW names aren't shit really, for example my family's name was given to them by crusty sexual predators under the guise of God.

Man, I want some sort of merch with just that gold + magenta Autobot logo. Most of the rest is a bit too “billboard-y” for my tastes, like, I wish they’d pulled moments or characters out rather then just using the full artwork. For instance, if the t-shirt was just Hot Rod and the grid lines, not the full poster and giant logo.

The hats not bad, but wish it was the movie emblem.

 

yeah, i want something more subtle and less flashy. especially shoe-wise. all of the tftm art is awesome if ill-fitting for the clothes, but those shoes are literally just the most basic "google image optimus prime and slap some buzzwords on them" yee yee ass lookin shoes lol

 

Totally agree. I don't really wear clothing with huge screen prints anymore, like when I was a teenager, but I'd totally get a black hoodie with that autobot logo. The shoes are awful, IMO. And randomly have beast hunters Optimus on there?

 

The Beast Hunters Prime shoes stand out a bit considering everything else is 86 movie themed.

Did every single marketing person in the country get the exact same directive from some marketing sky-god saying "You MUST use the letter "X" and cross-promote your brand with some other unrelated entity" and assume every knows what "[NAME] X [NAME]" is supposed to mean?

I even saw this on a big poster at Rubio's (a mexican chain in southern CA) where it says "Rubio's X Blais Tacos" and I guess if you recognize the name of some obscure cooking "celebrity" then it might mean something to you but otherwise you're left wondering what that even means.

 

I don\'t really need this movie to be in 4K but I swear if they use the UK \"crawl\" on this BluRay\'s cut I\'m gonna have to buy it.

My friends like the movie but I needed to explain the \"story so far\" to them and the extended narration actually does a good job of that.

 

Sometimes I forget why I don’t post on TFW anymore really. Then I see a thread like this where people are making complete buffoons of themselves by making fun of someone’s completely normal name, and I remember. This is pure poison and I’ve screenshotted it all so I can look back and laugh at it for a long time to come.

Art is great! Think I will pick up the 4k film with art plus a t-shirt or two. This is a proper celebration, well done.

 

You all should see some of the designs we did that didn’t get passed. I’ve already shared the shoes that I did design on Twitter. Concept was low tops in hot rod colours and high tops in Rodimus colours. This was all worked on by me and another artist called Florey. Some of it may still see the light of day at some point.

 

I would buy those Rodimus shoes in a heartbeat, Matt.
