Sweep looking like a literal repack is lame. I was really hoping they'd do the FunPub bluegreen color; accuracy be damned. Money and space saved I guess. May very well just get jolt then for that afterburner transplanting action.

Don't tell me you expected effort.

 

I mean, if your problem is that you bought up several copies of a figure in anticipation that a future release was going to be almost the exact figure you were already purchasing, I don't know what to tell you. We've known about the Sweep release for a while, and if you were buying multiple Scourges, you didn't have much of an issue with using the exact same toy to represent Scourge and the Sweeps in the first place. Want the modified Sweeps, sell off your excess Scourge figures. Don't want the Sweeps, keep them and enjoy your more accurate cast.

I just wish they did a Sweep release with new facial hair or a slightly different color scheme or something, and also re-released Scourge in the same wave. That way, the people who want modified Sweeps can get them, and people who want hyper movie accurate Sweeps can just buy up a few Scourge figures. People who want Scourge and missed the boat are happy, people who want movie-accurate Sweeps are happy, and people who want more interesting Sweeps are happy.

 

Oh, I got 3 of him because that how many you need to complete the camera mode. If it wasn't for that I would have only brought one. Keep in mind I used to hate buying repaints until Combiner Wars and it became a necessity and even then I'm at least buying different characters and I still limit myself to no more than three versions of the same mold. So going back to Reflector needing three to complete the camera mode was the justification for getting a full set but that's as close as I've come to army building and even with that it took me months to pull the trigger on them and get three.

 

The Sweep is exactly what I expected, but I still had a hope that there would be SOME kind of changes made to him other than a hand swap.  

Ah well, money saved.

 

If they wanted to do anything different with the Sweeps, not paintimg the nails would\'ve been all I\'d do.  Although then you couldn\'t swap the hands sooo

 

Dang just what I was hoping for on the sweeps, was hoping for different faces too, but oh well. Having the open hand just for scorge is what I wanted, gonna get 2 of em!

Yep! The name they've been given in official fiction (from their single figure release) is just "Decepticon Air Warrior".

More seekers are always welcome, although I do wonder what their individual names would be

 

I'd guess, as Warpshard mentions, Hasbro would just follow previous tradition and name them "Decepticon Air Warrior" or something along those lines.

 

Very unpopular opinion but I think the Sweep being a Scourge repack with just the open hand on the other is great for collectors who miss out on Scourge. Scourge was not only short pack but was bought in lots of 2-3 which only made things worst and Scourge's aftermarket price skyrocketed. I'm sure collectors who miss the boat on Scourge are really please to see this.

I assume 74 Bumblebee was intended to be released a lot earlier before Hasbro decided to launch the Studio Series 86 line-up.
