Ron Pearnman is THE the perfect choice to voice the big Gorilla.

Just let Ron Pearman be Ron Pearlman. A Dash of Hellboy with a Dash of his Blade 2 character.

 

I was trying to save time and avoid saying become the bloodlusty Prime from Bay's lesser films. Poor choice of words.

 

Someone else said it more thoroughly, but I was just looking for a nostalgia bomb wrapped in giving the smaller names from BW original a chance to get swept into the effort. My wanting it not to be him should not be confused with my thinking he isn't the best option not named Garry.

 

I can't see anyone else playing Beast Megatron as perfectly as David Kaye. I'm very worried he's not going to get casted.

 

We don't even know if any Megatron is in this film. The Predacons may be rogue or have a different leader.

 

Since the Predacons are described as reptilian, I'm suspecting they're going to be more like Prime Predacons than Beast Wars Predacons.

 

I really don't like the sounds of any of this. This is the second film in this new rebooted universe and they are introducing all these factions who don't usually appear until much later in their story lines. I've got a feeling this new films cast of bots is too bloated and they are rushing things. I do hope Beast Megatron eventually appears in the new rebooted universe, it would be a shame if they didn't use the best incarnation of Megatron.

 

I feel like you've got conflicting views in this post. You're worried they're putting in too many factions and characters, but then want Beast Megatron to show up (who I personally think is too prominent a character to be relegated to any sort of supporting role) which would just inflate the number of named/prominent characters even more. I expect the Preds and Decepticons to be secondary to the Terrorcons, with the bulk of the story being between the Terrorcons and combined Autobot/Maximal forces.

 

Damn, I really hope nobody harasses Perlman on Twitter. Ron's a genuinely good guy. I get why people are upset. Having Garry Chalk as Primal not only acknowledges Beast Wars, but it also acknowledges the Uniron Trilogy. Up until 2007 that point, Garry was Optimus Prime longer than even Cullen. He was the voice of Optimus Prime for a different generation of kids. Having both Optimus Prime in the movie and a chance for them to interact would have been amazing.

I think a good compromise would be to have Chalk voice another character in the movie even if he can't be Primal. Maybe he can be a different Prime, like Vector Prime or something.

 

I don't want him to show up in this film but I would eventually like to see him show up in the films as long as he's done right.

 

Ah, that’s fair. I agree, then, as IMO he’d make a better main villain.

 

Oh for sure. I don't think he should appear until after the original Megatron dies, it would be too much to have these two big villains sharing the screen together. Also there's the shared name which will confuse the fuck out of GA members unless they just call Beast Megatron "Megatronus" for this continuity.

 

I'm okay with Ron voicing primal.... He sounds like primal too..if they added some digital effect he could pull off Optimus prime's voice too...

 

Garry was ready and willing to do the voice and should have been approached first.

 

I know this is an old Topic but actually agree with this Ron Perlman is great but he was just Prime for like 10 and power of the primes wasn't even that good also whats with G1 fans giving crap to Beast wars fans about being sad about Gary chalk? you guys would be pretty pissed of Peter wasn't prime for the 2007 Movie? its the same thing here.

 

I don't get why Peter did not stand up for the other voice actors to at least be asked to reclaim their roles, but i do not hear anyone else complaining about this so there must be other factors at play. If they had asked Gary Chalk and he siad no then it would not be a issue. Also knowing more about the movie i hate to say i am happy Gary is not involved in this movie because it would tarnish him and his char. We need better people involved to help keep these movies non toxic, i know it's not being presented that way yet but i see the setup already sorry guys.
