I got the reissue with the collectors coin and he doesn't have any issues. My only problem is I can't decide whether I want to have him or Hot Rod in my 86 cast display. Unlike Megatron/Galvatron and Bumblebee/Goldbug, both of his forms are from the same era so I have no good permanent place to put them. Guess I'll just eternally be swapping them out now and then.

 

In my opinion, Pre-Prime getting killed (Hotrod) is one display, then another would be season 3 Rodimus

He finally arrived!
His right elbow ...inner red fin thing was SUPER tight thought, it would break and his shins don’t peg in well. But overall I am happy!

Oh man, if this gets any additional improvements I may have to say goodbye to my V3. 3 is serviceable, but there's still plenty to improve upon.

It's the version 3 with the orange ass.

 

It's a great figure, especially considering it's the only mp rodimus by takara and you get a two in one (hot rod) with it. I have not had any issues with this one compared to the original release way back when. One of the best out of the many mp purchases i have made. Well worth the money.

 

We'll have mp starscream 5.0 before we get a new version I'm afraid

Just got this after a 10 year wait. The source where I got him preowned, Rodimus Convoy looked as if he was never touched from the box. Only his manual was a bit twisted(not having any plastic wrap but his biocard was taped to his plastic clam shell holder) Not the re-issue GLD but hopefully the 2nd run fixed version that won't have exploding shoulders or knees. Still with issues with the back pegging snug. That dirty white connector just won't do it.   Shin panels are okay (I can live with it). He just can't hold his dang photon rifle no matter how hard I tried to fit it.  

I'm keeping him in Rodimus Convoy mode as I own both busted visor MP Hotrodimus and MP Targetmaster Hotrodimus already.

All for $143.55 not including shipping as I used DHL.

 

mine has trouble standing now and it has never been touched just left in the display cabinet but when i recently cleaned that out and installed new cob leds and put this back the ankles are proper weak , we badly need a new mp rodimus prime figure , this is still better than the original v1 i had and sold to buy this reissue but it's not much better

 

Since mine is the older V2(I hope version), the GLD of yours, are the colors the same? This one is kind of matte flat like MP Hound and UM. And yup, when compared with the recent Commander Kingdom version (Hb/TT got the backpack locking mechanism right at that price range, it is INEXCUSABLE for such a design flow to even exist at this product tier of Masterpiece. Even if this was 10 years ago).

Oh, is the backpack of your GLD version also fixed?

 

I think Mp is fine. He just needs a good upgrade kit: hands, ankles, face and support pieces.

I have this piece - 2 in fact. I have Carry. I love them all but man… SOMEONE needs to do a good cartoon/movie version of this guy.

 

Only MP I have ever had fall apart on me while doing nothing with it.
Literally standing in the display cabinet when its arm decided to just fall off

 

This pic made me have to track down a MP+ Prowl, he looks pretty good with the blue windows!

 

Just a repeat on those with the GLD version (the 2018 China text manual release), was the issue with the back connector fixed(the grey/white piece near the spoiler)?

Mine is the JPv2 version. Barely could keep that part latched on.
