Too small for CW. This is about the height of Kingdom Leader Galvatron.

This guy? For the size that looks wicked. Have they/are they going to do the other Combiners (Devastator, Superion, Defensor, Predaking etc)?

Follow up: if not, are there other options available at that size to pair him with? Because I really wouldn't mind giving my son my full-scale combiners and just run with legends sized combiners for my own collection.

That Bruticus is a 1:1 KO of Iron Factory's, and the other combiner IF has is that DJD combiner. The other Legends scale combiners are also around that 10" height so you could check them out in their own threads.

Regarding those that have been KOed, the only other one would be DX9 Hulkie. MFT's KO is 1:1 but that's <10". Aoxin KO is 10" but simplified and Weijiang's KO is >10".

It's a damn shame that IF Bruticus KO wasn't upscaled to CHUG. Would've been incredible.
Actually, it's a damn shame we don't have more CHUG scale KOs of Legends figures...

I think an OSKO version of the IF DJD combiner would probably cause a sensation. Wishful thinking, maybe, but I'd love to see it.

Yes. That's the Pocket Toys Panzer Legion Combiner, which is a KO of the Iron Factory Bruticus combiner. I have it in front of me right now, and it's actually about 1.5-2" taller than Kingdom Galvatron (top of head). So, it is really smaller than CW combiners. Would be nice if we get the DJD version. KO OS of the Hulky one would likely match this (I don't have that, so I can't really tell). Though, for the price (less than $60USD + shipping), it's a good deal.

Hey how are these KO MP30 Ratchets on ebay? Is the quality good?

I have the official MP Ironhide and love him. Is it comparable?

    Thanks in advance :)

I have the official MP Ironhide and the KO Ratchet. The quality is definitely a bit lower, but is still very good.

There's no simplification in the design, the plastic quality is very close, and the joints are fine (unlike KO MP Grapple, which has some very loose joints).

The plastic on the KO Ratchet has an almost matte feeling, and doesn't have the painted glossiness of the Ironhide. Also, the transformation feels a little bit more fiddly. You have to fuss with some of the small tabbed parts more as you're putting it into vehicle mode, as opposed to my Ironhide, where all the parts glide flawlessly into place. Also, the shade of the red plastic parts looks a bit cheap to me, though that's really just a minor aesthetic quibble.

Overall, I've only had one single QC issue (which seems to be common). The extra stomach detail piece that folds out of the front bumper for robot mode is extremely tight. On mine it was stuck and required a plastic spudger to lever it out. After using the tool the first time, I can now do it by hand.

Although it feels lower in quality when you compare it directly to the official Ironhide, I would say that on its own merits, it's still an excellent rendition of MP Ratchet, and very much worth KO price (I paid $35 usd).

    Got more Botbots.

    IMG20210703092544_Botbots.jpg

They came in blind boxes. Only got 2 doubles from the 21 that I bought. I got them at a retail store (they're sold out thanks to me, only added a dollar to the cost, just because I wanted to sell them fast so I could go back and get more and get pics for my gallery of the different ones lol) (still missing the coffee maker though)

    Thanks for the ID! :)

..and my gallery just passed 56 thousand pics. :)

I'm wondering if the plastic shock oil will help the tightness of the joints you described.

    Ordered btw.

It's really ONLY that one piece that seems to get stuck on this figure. Other people have reported the same issue, but there's no dangerous tightness anywhere else. I don't know Plastic Shock oil, but it may help. Even with a tool to use as a lever, there was a genuine feeling that the part might break because the resistance was so high. I had just resigned myself to not folding out that part ever (robot mode looks fine without it) but another board member reported that they were able to get it to move, so I tried again.

Other than that one thing, it's just that the parts for transformation need more massaging to get them in place for vehicle mode... like the fit isn't as precise. But the joints themselves feel about the same as the Takara.

I'm not sure if most official MP figures actually have a coat of gloss paint over the plastic, or if the plastic is just very glossy... but the KO MP stuff doesn't have as much of that surface (same on my KO MP Sunstreaker and Grapple). My KO MP Inferno does feel shiny like an official though, so it may vary).

Considering the price difference, I haven't been disappointed by a KO MP figure yet. Any weaknesses compared to the originals I have are very minor, so I really enjoy them... I think Grapple's weak shoulder ratchets are the only thing I felt like I really needed to fix. Though as always, your mileage may vary. :)
