those OX thighs look super silly on this devy. hopefully it is a bad angle or whatever. because this shot definitely reminds me of skinny jeans.

 

It's very Tonka-esque. I'm still hanging on to my YX version for now.

 

I think they look better than solid green.

Me: Man, this looks bad, it's toon-accurate but to its detriment, the proportions are super-goofy, the body being one big non-transforming piece is just the opposite of what I want from Transformers.

Yeeeeeep. Big fan of this guy in yellow. I think the main difference that makes this look better is the tracks on the armbots both being black, rather than green / purple - I know that's toon accurate, but it blends in too much with everything else. The added contrast here really works.

 

i agree, for me MS aesthetics works better on some bots, while not on most others. NA is the opposite and tend to go slimmer, so again works for some and not others.   it's all subjective to the perception of how a character should look and project.

huh, i tend to prefer a green devy, but that yellow one actually looks better in this case.

yeah, that's prob why i'm liking the yellow version more. the colour differentiation and contrast makes a difference.

I hope we also get at least one of the two Diaclone decoes. Preferably the one with the blue Mixmaster and Hook.

 

Should be G1 Constructicons released in early 90's for Europe market, had yellow color and grey parts exactly as that Scavenger but missed all pieces to combine them in Devastator.

 

Those black treads on Scavenger and Bonecrusher do not look good on the figure.

 

It was also the color scheme for the G2 Constructicons released in the States, which did come with the combiner parts:

 

I honestly think they look better than just full yellow/purple treads.

 

Same here. I've been debating dying or painting the TW Devy's treads black.

 

Not entirely - that set has no grey parts.

I actually had no idea that there was a yellow set with grey parts. The grey parts on the NewAge version looked a little odd to me, and now I understand why - my Devastator when I was a kid was a mixture of yellow (no grey parts) and orange bots. The grey parts definitely look out of place to me (since I'm not used to them), but I still like the overall look.

 

I been super hyped for NA's Devastator but haven't been able to keep up with the thread lately. So this "cheat frame" recently came to my attention and is extremely disheartening. I do not understand haha
