I wouldn't mind having another Aranea if it's more durable than the original (I wouldn't mind KOs of the original versions either since my PE RC's hands disintegrated from nothing somehow).

Until we actually get larger bike-formers, everything is too small to be any ride as most of them are currently around the regular figma scale.

 

Even APC arcee is too small for Figma figure. So we need some MP bike asap

 

Ok so, to someone uninitiated, anyone cares to explain what release is this a KO Of? First time I lay my eyes on it.

 

What figure is this a KO of? Well, as the title says, it's a KO of Perfect Effect PE-DX02 Aranea. A Blackarachnia retool of PE-DX01 Motobot, an original take on Arcee that's a motorcycle.

I have Motobot, and it's a good mold. Though, I'm starting to see stress marks on it despite not having handled it in ages. Hopefully this Aranea KO can remedy some of those issues the original mold had.

This looks great. I've seen it up for preorder on OhMyPrimus via a Discord channel. It's a little higher ($65USD/$88SGD), but still worthwhile. BUT!! She looks great, but I think that as Blackarachnia, I'll need to paint up her face in gold with black eyes...yesss.

Yeah, I think this and the motobots could stand to be upscaled so they could be made a little stronger. They were nice figures but fragile. And I love motorcycle bots, they were really nice figures, but just did not hold up to regular handling.

 

Really happy about this. I used to own it and loved the look but I had to do so much work to make it barely functional as a figure. I had sanded nearly every peg down so they would fit. I had to reglue a ratchet piece that would keep falling out of the ab crunched torso, the knees and ankles were toleranced so tightly that I had to work them to do anything, and in the end I couldn't even transform her without fear of snapping the clear plastic bits. Please please PLEASE be solid and not a complete mess.

Aranea was more of an original character than a BA retool. The spider motif is obvious and original comic that came with some other PE offerings had her much more Blackarachnia looking. The end result ended up being completely different and only really sharing some of Animated BA's color scheme.

 

Yup, it's up. Thanks for the info! Just placed my pre-order. Despite the issues of the original release, I don't want to miss out again. But I'm still hoping this one is less fragile.
Anyway, why does it say "MP Scale"? Did they make it bigger after all?

Improved materials? Shit, that'd tempt me to pick up the KO, since I still have the original and back in the day needed to replace the torso because the windshield portion cracked in half from transforming due to the clearance issues.
