Kids smart enough to follow the story of the show and smart enough to do these simple 5 to 10 step conversions are also smart enough to realize these figures are all pure garbage.

It doesn\'t seem like proportions, fun, or anything was considered. And that\'s a shame. Even putting the Warrior Class label on these is a shame. The original Warrior class, during RID15, started strong with mixed results and only got better and better.

The contrast between the 2 is staggering. These are nominally low effort. RID15 Warriors made the most of the parts count and plastic budget. RID Warriors sometimes surprised me! Thunderhoof was really interesting. Nothing but fauxparts tbh but still evoking the character in both modes and being fun, non brick figures for 15 to 20 bucks depending.

Tell me you've never met a kid without telling me you've never met a kid.

Kids aren't as dumb as you think, and since they actually play with toys the faster transformations are hugely appealing.

Jesus Christ this forum would have hated Transformers in the 80s.

That's not the point. The warrior class offers better figures than these particular four but, aside from Megatron being okay, the other three are the worst versions of those particular characters. There's definitely a better Prime and Starscream, if you use the Cybertronian mode versions. But no, Hasbro picked the worst ones.

Dude I've met plenty of kids. I babysit children (although giving that job to a Sith Lord may seem foolish) and I'm very close with my cousins and aunts who have been popping out babies in no time flat tbh, also foolish these days lol.

And you clearly didn't read my post, I'm not saying kids are dumb at all.

I'm saying that I know for a fact that if for example, my god daughter, was handed these toys she'd have fun sure but she'd probably have some remark about Starscream's knees or Bee and Prime's proportions. RID Warriors had the same thing going on and did it better. Perhaps a smidgen more complex, but that's price gouging for you in a nutshell.

She even prefers one steps to warriors depending because they have a greater resemblance in some instances than warriors. Whirl is a fantastic one step. The Bee toy? No. Bee has received maybe 2 figures that actually resemble his design and it's not an impossible thing to do.

Children want these toys solely because they enjoy the characters in other media. That's the business model! And it has been since the 80s. There were good and bad G1 toys according to the standards of those times as well. And it simply isn't impossible to make a simple figure with a strong resemblance to a character. Evergreen Dollar Store Optimus at almost voyager height for $10 for example.

I'll reiterate, these are nominally low effort toys.

These probably weren't even designed in Japan. Hasbro designers trying to actually engineer a converting figure without JP input is usually what results in these sorts of toys, or the Titanium lineup, or Energon Grim/Swoop.

It's about giving a shit about your consumer base especially considering the climbing cost.

And writing it all off as 'its for kids' as if kids don't have the ability to be critical in any way is YOUR failure to recognize child intelligence. For example, my god daughter saw the "Scouts" "Transformational Mode" and said that was dumb. We looked at the other offerings at the time and she chose a completely different toyline over the TF offerings.

And I'm not whispering in her ear "this is scrub trash" I'm just carrying 20 bucks and letting the kid pick a toy.

Later on, I bought her the Seeker 4 pack of the improved Cyberverse Warriors and she loves them! They've got very simple transformations, action gimmicks, elbows and knees, and look good in both modes. Very good warrior toys indeed.

But earlier on there was a wall full of bees and primes and screams and she looked at them, checked Bee out a bit in her hands, and chose something else entirely.

Mind you, she didn't actually critique them, she simply chose something else. But she does like the show and other toys.

She's 7 and she TF'd Siege Sideswipe the other day and that was really cool.

Getting blackout drunk and arguing with strangers has been America's true pastime for over a century. The internet simply streamlines the experience.

Appreciate your likes btw. The others' anger only serves to give me more power ofc.

The real shame is how many of these will end up in landfills.

Did you know you can pop broken/undesired figures right in the recycle bin? I always do.

The Worlds Collide 4-pack is a completely different thing that serves as a crossover between Kingdom and Buzzworthy. We might be seeing pictures of it on July 25th.

You definitely can? Don't you have single stream recycling? It's plastic and metal there's no toxic materials.

I put pretty much anything plastic or metal in the bin. If the city still decides to just put it in the ocean or something at least it's not my fault anymore.

That is absolutely your fault! There are guidelines for what can and can't go in your local recycling and putting anything not approved in there can get the whole bin thrown away. That is on YOU. That is YOU not following instructions.
