there are some posts in the middle of this thread that show renders from @Byrin, but I am not sure if this is a tweaked design from those renders, or redone from the ground up.

Does this joint work as an ab crunch? It seems like it could, but the prototype photos don’t show it in use.

 

Does anyone know if MMC will give Rung articulated hands like Optus Pexus and Eris Kultur for the final figure or is Rung too small for hands like those?

Think that's a swivel for the backpack, probably for transformation. To be an ab-crunch it would need to be connected to the hips or legs I think?

 

I was thinking it could be connected to the upper torso, so the backpack and chest would swing forward together on that hinge I circled

 

Oh, so a kind of "chest crunch" rather than an ab crunch? Interesting. A bit like what usually happens with Arcee figures because of that "stripper" waist and torso she has. Hmmn, could be a possibility

 

Yep, kinda like a typical Marvel Legends figure (chest on a forward swivel, waist on a side swivel):

 

He's too small so articulated fingers would be very fragile. Mentis comes with an almost ridiculous number of hands though. More than any other mmc toy has or any of my Figma's or Revoltechs did.

Those heads are nicely done but kind of superfluous and samey, plus they’re all distressed expressions. I was hoping for at least one relaxed/happy face, something like this panel.

 

Simple transformations have been on a lot of MMC figures lately, though Helex and Optus broke that tradition. Don't mind, though, as Rung's transformation in the comics isn't super-complicated.

This is the figure I think of as the "capstone" to my collection. Well done, MMC!

 

Well I think this guy's transformation seems simpler still, and no that's not a bad thing, I am just saying with less moving parts, but with MORE accessories, hopefully we'll get the usual Reformatted pricing for a single figure, like say 90?
